Chocolate Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
Excellent little cookie, I love how the cocoa taste comes through! I added sliced almonds instead of pecans cause that's what I had on hand, they came out very tasty! Also I have made these twice and did not bother with the powdered sugar, they still were great tasting without being overly sweet!

Golden Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
I mixed the ingredients in my bread machine, however, I used Crisco for the shortening and it did NOT mix in with the time I will try melting it first. These rolls rose very nicely, however, they taste like they need more salt. I baked them at 350 in my convection oven for 12 minutes and they turned out perfectly. I will make them again and update this review using the melted shortening.

Chocolate Oatmeal Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
Before making these cookies, I read the reviews and decided to make my own adjustments and the cookies came out perfectly! Oven should be 350. Use 1 Cup butter, omit the shortening, use 2 EGGS and cream them with the butter, brown sugar and water. Follow the recipe as directed. Use 1 TEASPOON per cookie, they really spread out if you use too much batter. Make these adjustments and you will really be pleased with the results!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
I modified this based on reading everyone's suggestions and came up with a PERFECT soup: Use 2 pkg frozen broccoli florets, 2 diced carrots and 1 tsp garlic clove(saute with the onion and butter) 48oz box of low sodium chicken broth plus one 14 oz can,I have a hand blender that I used for pureeing the mixture, it gave the soup a great consistency! 1 lb velveeta and 1 lb low fat velveeta; melt with 1 Cup skim milk in microwave, then add to the broccoli mixture. I used 1 tsp or so corn starch mixed in 1/4 C cold water, then added to the soup mixture to thicken. sprinkle with fresh cracked pepper. Do NOT add any salt. Serve with crusty rolls. Very satisfying and filling, superior flavor!!
