Brown Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2014
This was yummy. It had a slightly nutty taste that we couldn't figure out how that happened. I was going to wait a few days to see if they got even better but honestly these cookies lasted less than 2 days. Also, I didn't have unsalted butter at the time so I added a little less salt to the recipe than indicated.

Fluffy Biscuit Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
This was pretty good considering that I didn't have to run out to get supplies. However, next time I will put a little bit of sugar in it to cover up the taste of mayo. I think it was the Duke's light mayo that was the problem.

Peanut Butter Cookies VI

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
These were delicious. I did change two things. I changed the sugar to 1/2 c. white and 1/2 c. brown sugar and I did follow the other reviewers' advice and did 1 c. of peanut butter. My daughter loved these and they were really nice and soft cookies.

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
My dough did not turn out very well because I didn't have a pastry blender. But as far as that, it wasn't that bad. I will definitely make it again once I get the pastry blender.

Powdered Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
This was my first time making homemade cookies. The recipe was easy and my daughter and I really enjoyed the time we spent making them. I did make two changes. One was that we did 1 cup of shortening instead of veggie oil. The second was that I didn't have any baking soda so I had to substitute the 1 tsp of baking soda with 3 tsp of baking powder. For those of us who don't cook all the time, that's the correct substitution for baking soda with baking powder. The cookies were still delicious. Thanks for the recipe.

Creamy Baked Chicken

This was really good. I did sautee it prior to putting the dish in the oven. The whole family enjoyed it.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
These were really good and my family enjoyed them. My only problem was that I followed the directions to a T and almost burned instead of sauteed my pork chops. Besides that, these were delicious and I will be baking them for my spouse when he returns home.

Banana Bread V

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
This was a really good banana bread. It was easy to make and easy to understand when it came to directions. My family enjoyed eating it and it turned out better than the recipe for the banana banana bread that my mother tried. It will definitely be a permanent staple in our kitchen.

Chicken in Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
So easy to make. It took a little longer for me to cook because I put aluminum foil over it and I shouldn't have. The kids loved it. I also added paprika to it.

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
I gave it four stars because my kids liked the recipe but I didn't. It took longer in the oven than I thought it would so I put aluminum foil over them and it made them soggy. But like I said, my kids loved it so it must have been really great.

Lemon Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because I couldn't really taste the lemon, except in the stuffing which I put around the chicken. My children loved it though, and that's really saying something.

The Best Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
I did it exactly like the instructions say for 10 instead of 20. Unfortunately, I needed more whipped cream and the pudding came out way sweeter than I like. Which was bad, because I really like banana pudding. I suggest less condensed milk, unless you like your pudding sweet.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
This tasted really good. I followed the advice of other reviewers and set aside 1/3 of the strawberries for after I cooked the sauce. I also cooked them whole, pureed them then added the 1/3 strawberries to the mix. I blended it again but that was not a good decision. Next time I will not do that.

New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
I gave it four stars because of the fact that it was really good but the way I followed the instructions made me burn the cheesecake. Next time I will drop the temperature by at least 50 degrees so that it will not burn. Despite being burned it was still really good!! So now it's cheesecake cajun style!

Biggest Bestest Burger

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2007
I gave it three because my family and I agreed that it did contain too much basil and a pinch too much salt. But as far as that it was fine, but not the bestest.

Streusel Topped Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2007
These were really good and easy to make. This was my first time making home made blueberry muffins and thanks to this recipe, I will definitely continue to make more muffins and cakes homemade. I used frozen blueberries instead of fresh and it turned out perfectly fine.
