About this Cook
I am now a full time working mother and Soldier. I decided to start cooking at home because of two reasons: it's cheaper and it's healthier. I have a new family now and all of us are starting to gain weight so it's back to the basics.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are ribs, chicken, pork chops, veggie ideas, and anything with ground beef. I also love to try new desserts. Each meal that I cook is a challenge that I gratefully undertake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The kids and I get to spend time together making desserts. They love to help me cook and they learn while I cook.
My cooking triumphs
I made really good ribs from following one of the recipes on this website. My roast is excellent and enjoyed by everyone who eats it.
My cooking tragedies
My first cheesecake burned because I didn't remember that I live in the mountains and needed to adjust the temperature accordingly.

Brown Sugar Cookies
This was yummy. It had a slightly nutty taste that we couldn't figure out how that happened. I was going to wait a few days to see if they got even better but honestly these cookies lasted less than 2 days. Also, I didn't have unsalted butter at the time so I added a little less salt to the recipe than indicated.

Peanut Butter Cookies VI
These were delicious. I did change two things. I changed the sugar to 1/2 c. white and 1/2 c. brown sugar and I did follow the other reviewers' advice and did 1 c. of peanut butter. My daughter loved these and they were really nice and soft cookies.
