About this Cook
Cooking is only one of my passions. I draw, paint, sing, dance, act, write, and many other things. Although I don't view it as my future career, I want to be a model. When I'm 18 I'm entering America's Next Top Model.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Italian food. I find American food so boring and enjoy ethnic food of all sorts. I also adore desserts. Whatever I cook, I make it vegetarian and dairy free. Recipes are easy to substitute with.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma on my dad's side taught me to cook. She taught me to make casseroles, pies, cookies, bars, cakes, and brownies. Most of the entrees I know how to cook I taught myself. Everytime I visit my grandma, we always make desserts. Most of the time we make banana cream pie because we both adore it.
My cooking triumphs
Without any instruction or advice, I've made japanese and thai food and countless desserts. I love experimenting with new desserts and recipes. Now I don't screw them up at all.
My cooking tragedies
Once, when I was young, maybe 11 or 12. I tried to make banana cream pie on my own. I forgot to put in the cornstarch and wasn't careful with the eggs. It ended up tasting like sweeted scrambled eggs in a graham cracker crust.

Rum Truffles
First time making these or any truffles. These were easy and delicious. I made them as a christmas present, and they were great.

Hot Chocolate Mix II
I was trying to find a good cocoa mix for a bridal shower favor. You know, "the perfect mix." This wasn't it. The chocolatey taste seemed watered down. Not to my liking. I was comparing three recipes for a taste test to pick which one to use. I'm not using this one.
