About this Cook
I am a wife, nuse, and a mom. I love to cook for my family and I love to try different things. I enjoy trying new foods from all around the world.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are new recipes. I like trying new things espically when they are quick, easy and full of great flavor!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to cook thanksgiving/christmas dinner. We live far away from all our family so I like to make the holidays special for my husband and son.
My cooking triumphs
They would probably be my baked spagetti and my overnight baked beans! When I find a recipe that my family likes I put them together in a unused photo album. It cured my problem of having my good recipes scattered about and not being able to find them when I needed them!
My cooking tragedies
It would have to biscotti, I can't seem to get them right...

Chicken Alfredo
this did not turn out well at all. I took forever for the sauce to come together and only did so after about an hour of whisking and adding the milk. Even after it did finally come together is was too thick and that was after a whole cup of milk. Sorry to say that I will not be making this one again :(

Sandy's Casserole
This was a super easy really great tasting recipe! I did make a few small changes like only using about 1 1/2 cups of milk, I also used onion powder instead of chopped onion just because I was too lazy to chop up some up! I also reserved about a 1/2 cup of cheese til the end. I cooked this for about an hour and added the reserved cheese and a cup of corn flakes on top for the last 5 min. the cheese melted and browned and the corn flakes gave it a crunchy texture that I thought it needed. I Will be making this again!
