This is hands down the best chocolate cookie recipe I've ever tasted. They went so fast I had to make more.

These were excellent. My only reserve is that the icing became sticky and made them awkward to eat.

This was very good. I found that I can sneak a little bit of veggies to to my family by adding spinach.

Mexican Mole Poblano Inspired Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2011
I was looking for a chili recipe that had both chocolate and cinnamon in the ingredients list. This is the one I chose. I heard that these ingredients were the secret to winning a chili cookoff. WELL, lets just say I'll never make a recipe to serve (especially to be judged) without giving it a trial run first. The people were commenting on the flavor while taste-testing my chili (and not in a good way). Over all, the recipe was a flop. People were warning others not to even try this one. So glad it was anonymous! I dumped it when I got home.

Ham Breakfast Braid

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
Very good. I used FF cream cheese, and added finely diced red peppers and asparagus. I forgot the cheese so I sprinkled some on top to melt about 5 minutes before removing it from the oven.

Turkey in a Bag

It was alright. Nothing extremely special. I try different recipes each year I make my turkey. I will keep trying. I didn't think it was very moist either; maybe I over cooked it?

Mock Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
Great recipe! one thing i hate about "real" Chicken Fried Steak is the chewyness, This melts in your mouth. Great for saving on money too. Thanks! I always bake mine instead of frying. I have tried many alterations but the original recipe is great as is.

Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
This is excellent. I love broccoli and cheese soups but dont love the calories. I used left over roasted potatoes from the night before and I think this gave it a great flavor. I also added several twists of a county fresh herb grinder I keep handy. I'm thinking about adding some ff sour cream to make it even creamier next time. Very filling! I wanted a second helping but didn't have room for it!

Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
I think I had my hopes too high for this recipe. It wasn't as good as I expected. I love mushroom swiss burgers. This wasn't it at all. The kids didn't like it. My mom just said it was ok. I did like it warmed up the next day on bread. This is probably personal preference. All in all it's a good recipe. Just not for us.

Pea Salad I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
Really its just salad with peas added to it. I used ff miracle whip. I think a common mistake when using mayo..... When we hear that term we automatically assume its what ever we have grown up loving. However, there is a difference between mayo and salad dressing. One is sweet, one is not. I added about half the sugar called for and that was plenty for me. Adjust the dressing mix to your taste before spreading it over your salad. I ended up adding about a 1/4 cup of Green Goddess dressing to it. And a tablespoon of ranch mix. I couldn't taste the ranch though. It's kinda bland, but we all loved it.

Light Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This didn't hit the spot for the "regular" sweet potato casserole lovers. It wasn't bad per se, maybe could of used a little more sugar. I ended up toasting some pecans with butter and brown sugar and putting that on top. A few people scooped up the topping to add to their plates. I ended up throwing most of it out. Very Unfortunate.

Southern Eggs and Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
I remember my dad making some kind of gravy with diced eggs in it, but I couldnt put my finger on it. This was pretty close to it. Absolutely delish as is. Cant wait to make it again. Everyone loved it. I did cheat and used canned buttermilk biscuits. I made it for supper, and the leftovers were great for breakfast in the morning. Thanks for the recipe. Update, I have made this a few more times (we cant get enough)! I forgot to put the cheese in last time and didn't even miss it.

Joanne's Super Hero Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
This is a GREAT sandwich! I made it for the Super Bowl and my family and friends devoured it. It is very accomodating to different meats cheeses and veggies. I omitted the mushrooms and used roasted red pepper flavored olives, added a little chopped onion and chopped pimento peppers to the sauce. This did work well in two oval shaped crusty breads. I couldnt find a round one. I will use this often.

Teriyaki Chicken for the Busy Cook

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
This was an "OK" recipe. It wasn't extravegant, but it wasn't bad at all. I didn't really taste the orange soda at all. I made it a second time and added some teriyaki sauce and some garlic and ginger. Still just OK.The best part is,this dish is very quick and easy to put together if you use already cut up pieces, or boneless skinless breast or thighs.
