About this Cook
My philosophy in the kitchen is having at least 85% of my meals healthy and to keep doing different things all the time. That's why allrecipes.com is a regular visit for me, I need some inspiration and ideas to continue making my family happy at dinner time.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking fish, most commonly haddock which is great for all kinds of oven and pan dishes. Halibut is also a favorite of mine for the barbeque and a good marinade never goes wrong. Chicken and minced meat is very common in my dinners as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have specific traditions when it comes to food, except I cook and my kids complaint. That's pretty much it :-)
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean lasagna that NEVER fails and my minced meat balls in tomato sauce, served with rice, potatoes or spaghetti are always a hit. Grilled halibut is to easy to make to be considered a thriumph but still, always turns out fantastic.
My cooking tragedies
Weeellll, how much space do I have here? Let's just say that I'm still evolving as a cook...

Chicken and Bow Tie Pasta
This was outrageously good!! And alot better than it looks on the photo. Made this for the kids when me and my husband were going out for dinner, I almost changed my mind about the restaurant. That's how good this was. Made some changes though; used maccaroni instead of bow tie pasta and alot less chicken than the recipe called for. Mushrooms instead of red bell pepper, cram cheese with herbs instead of onion and chives and mozzarella cheese instead of parmesan. Not drastic changes really, but I did put mine in a large pan, drizzled the cheese over and baked in a hot oven until the top layer was golden and crispy. And that did it for me, if you think this dish is good try to wack it in the oven for a little bit. You'll love it!!

Mama's Best Broiled Tomato Sandwich
Yummilicious and nothing less than that!! Served them for dinner with cauliflower soup, absolutely delicious. It's not easy to please 3 kids every dinner but this they just ate up and wanted more!!

Leslie's Salty Grilled Potatoes
This was just like any other baked potatoe to me! My husband got disapointed when he tasted them 'cos I had told him these would be the best ever.
