Made this for my New Year's party and it was a hit. It turned out to be way to much to fit in my 3.5 qt slow cooker, so I did it in an enameled cast iron pot with lid in the oven. Added a bit more liquid, started at 300 for half an hour, then down to about 240. I thought it would still take 7 hours, but it took much less. I'm not sure exactly, but I think it was around 4 hours. Came out great, and even better the next couple of days.
