Authentic German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2014
This was absolutely delicious!!!! Possibly the most delicious potato salad I've ever had. I followed the recipe exactly using russet potatoes. My husband and kids loved it too. Next time I might try doubling the sauce and using less sugar. I will make this often!

Miracle Soup

This soup is delicious. I used fresh veggies instead of frozen/canned and used kale instead of spinach and added sesame oil (1tbsp). So good!!!

Hasselback Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
Soooooo good!! I didn't add the breadcrumbs due to gluten allergies but followed the rest and it was delicious! I did brush the potatoes with garlic butter half way through cooking and again when finished cooking. Made it for a dinner party and got great reviews!

Green Beans with Almonds

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
This was sooooo good!! Though I didn't follow it 100%, it was a good platform to start....I steamed the green beans for 8 minutes, toasted the almonds on a hot pan, added bacon and garlic and cooked til bacon was ready....added the steamed green beans to the pan and stir fried it all together for a minute. Added seasoned salt to taste. Soooooo good!!!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
Very good!! I made this for Thanksgiving and received lots of compliments. I loved the flavor! I changed the recipe slightly though by omitting the eggs (eggs just seemed too weird to me), I added 1.5 tsp cinnamon and used maple syrup instead of white sugar. VERY good and will now make this a Thanksgiving staple!!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
Very good....my kids really loved it. Wish I added more of the spices because I thought the flavor was too mellow. But overall was very good and would make again!

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2013
This is one of the best soups I've ever made! It was easy and delicious. I think the sausage flavoring is what really makes it so good. I used fresh ground chicken sausage from my grocer's meat department and I also added extra veggies that I had on hand (diced onion, pureed sweet potato and green beans). My husband also thought this was one of the best soups I've made. Keeper!

Amish Slaw

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
I really loved this! I was looking for a non-mayo cole slaw recipe and this was perfect. However, I used only 1/2 cup of sugar because I don't like it too sweet. And I added thinly sliced red peppers, onion and celery. LOOOVE!!

Kung Pao Chicken

This was really good - I only thought it was a very salty...maybe I would cut back on some soy sauce.

Baked Coconut Shrimp with Spicy Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
This was a good alternative to the unhealthy fried version. I kept longing for that crispy texture though. The panko and coconut only got a little crispy and did not brown at all...but I didn't want to overcook the shrimp. The sauce is good but thick...I thinned it out with a little warm water.

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
This was sooooo good!! It was moist and flavorful. My husband said it was the best meatloaf he's had and my young kids liked it too. I didn't add the hot sauce because of my kids but just perfect, thanks!

Royal Icing I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
I thought 4 egg whites was too much -- I used 2 egg whites and came out great. It was perfect for our gingerbread house and held the pieces up well. Doesn't taste good though - good for something like a gingerbread house where you just need it to be more strong than tasty.

Gingerbread Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
DEFINITELY WAAAAY too much milk!! I had to put a total of 4 cups of sugar to make it the right consistency. It had no flavor other than powder sugar - I added 1 tsp lemon extract and it was better - but still not that great. Would not recommend.

I didn't think this has enough flavor. It needed some cajun spices or something flavorful.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
Soooo simple yet absolutely delicious! My sprouts were ready in 25 minutes at 400 degrees. They are definitely best immediately out of the oven. Once they start cooling down, they are not as crispy and good.

This was so bland to me. Not sure I thought the sundried tomatoes matched up with the squash & zuchinni.
