Easy Pancakes

This is an easy and tasty recipe! Let me say, the ham bone does make a difference! The first time I made this, I just used chicken stock and topped the soup with crumbled bacon. The second time I made it I used the hambone. Wow! The flavor was much richer and my kiddos liked looking for the bits of ham in the soup!

Marshmallow Fondant

What a great recipe! It is a little work to roll it out, but not more than any other recipe I have tried. I used another reviewer's suggestion when melting my marshmallows...I just put them in my KA mixing bowl and place them over a pot of boiling water. Then, I just put the bowl on the mixer and mix in the sugar with the dough hook. So easy!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

I am slighty disappointed with these cookies. I made two batches; one with margarine and one with butter. Both came out cakey...exactly what I didn't want. They taste good, but I'll stick to my own recipe next time.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

This is a great recipe! It's a once a week dinner for us now! I originally made it as written, but as a busy mom of 4, I needed to make a quicker version. I use precooked chicken and leftover noodles,but I always use the ingredients in the recipe for the sauce. I do add broccoli, but not because the recipe needs, my kids just love broccoli.

Best Brownies

I followed the recipe exactly as written. The brownies turned out dry and bland. Not chewy, not cakey. The frosting is really sweet, but the consistancy is good. Sorry, but we are not a fans of this recipe.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

The absolute BEST! Very easy! My kids love this popcorn during any holiday! We Like to mix in mini marshmallows, chocolate chips and graham cracker cereal to the cooled caramel corn. Makes a great gift. One hint though...we always add a little cinnamon to the pot when making the caramel coating!

Zucchini Frittata

I feel like it is unfair to rate a recipe made with substitutiions, so I am rating this 4 stars on the recipe as written. The second time around, I used yellow squash, diced not shredded, and 1/2 cup cheese. I think dicing the squash and using less cheese makes this a 5 star frittata.

Sausage Potato Casserole

I love the versatility of this recipe! As written, it is delicious, and I have made my own variations using what I had on hand. I made it exactly as written the first time, and it did take about 10 mins longer to cook. When I make it now, I use leftover baked potatoes to cut down on the baking time.

Alissa's Vegetarian Lentil Meatloaf

These definately taste better the next day! I used instant brown rice, but the regular brown rice would probably work best. I didn't have any flax, so I used whole wheat flour instead. I made individual portions by baking it in muffin cups and cutting the baking time. Perfect texture...not too dry or mushy.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Yummy frosting! I actually halved the recipe and it was perfect for my sheet cake. Also, I didn't quite have enough cocoa, so I added a little fine coffee granules....wow! I frosted a chocolate cake....this was the best cake I have ever made!!! I making another cake this week!!!

Fresh Broccoli Salad

I grew up eating this salad! It is my husband's favorite now. It is also a great way to get kids to eat broccoli! Try it with sunflower seeds instead of almonds!

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

This is a great, versitile recipe! I followed the recipe for the first batch...YUM! For the second batch I used Multi Grain Cheerios, Craisins and apricots. These were a little more substantial....Equally YUM!! A little tip...if your kitchen is warm, pop the bars in the fridge for awhile.

Egg Drop Soup II

This is really good soup! I like my soup a lttle thick, so I added just about a 1/4 teaspoon more corn starch and it was perfect. We will never have another stir-fry night without this soup!!!
