Asian Ginger Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
EXCELLENT! We used a little less water because our jar was too small, but it was still good. I'm not big on salads, but I could have eaten my weight in lettuce with this recipe.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
Awesome - best cauliflower I've ever had. Made this with a purple variety I found at the farmers' market - wish I had taken a picture; it was beautiful. I was too impatient to grate that much parmasan cheese, but added an extra sprinkle of shreadded sharp cheddar. It was so flavorful, it didn't even need it. Fabulous recipe.

Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
My whole family thought this was great. At the end, I mixed the noodles into the sauce, and added some frozen peas and a splash of white wine. We may have gotten a little impatient and ate it too soon... the sauce that sat on the stove longer cooked down and stuck to the noodles better than the first helping we ate. My 2 year old and I both ate 3 helpings of this! Great recipe. I've always wondered how to make this without canned soup (yuck!).

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
Tastes pretty good. The word "cookie" seems like a stretch though - they are more of a muffin top or breakfast bar or something. Adding some kind of sugar might make the "cookie" have a little more crisp. If you add dried fruit, make sure to cut into pretty small pieces - I cut apricots into ~6 pieces each and my husband thought they were way too big. We will probably experiment more with this one later. Great way to use up clearance bananas!

Japanese Spinach with Sweet Sesame Seeds

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
I thought this was a 1 star, but my husband did like it ok. The sugar completely doesn't go with the spinach. I should have known that the sesame oil shouldn't be added at the beginning - sesame oil isn't a good oil to cook with because it loses its flavor with cooking. Like someone else said, it was missing salt. I put some on at the end. Still was way too sweet for my liking. Eatible I wouldn't make this again.

Rosettes I

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
I made them exactly like the recipe states. They were delish. People at the Superbowl party had never seen them before, but loved them.

Green Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2006
This recipe comes out a little bitter - so I add about 1 tablespoon of white sugar. This is SUCH a good salad - and I'm not usually a big salad person. Great blend of flavors with the blue cheese and vinaigrette.

Apple Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2006
Was happy to find a good healthy recipe for oatmeal cookies. We decided they're more like "muffin tops" than cookies, and they taste pretty good. We left them out overnight which helped them firm up - right after they're cooked they're too mushy to pick up and eat like a regular cookie. We liked the amount of sweetness - not overly sweet like most recipes. Used butter instead of margarine, and added craisins and dried currants. I made them way too big - next time I'll make them teaspoon size. I would make this recipe again.

Sesame Tempura Green Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2001
This was sooo good, that when we were done eating, my husband asked me to cook more! Easy recipe, and I think the batter would be good on just about anything. The sauce is great too.

Eggplant and Tomato Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2001
This seemed like a lot of work for what you get... This would be a good side item, but not main course. It would work better if you cube the eggplant, otherwise the skin is hard to cut. It did have a good flavor, and I liked the flavor the yogurt added.
