Artichoke and Crabmeat Triangles

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This was a good base for a dip. I needed to kick it up with some more seasonings to give it some umph. I eyed some garlic and herb seasonings and no mayo. Got some great reviews from friends.

Crab Cakes II

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
I liked the base of the recipe but it did lack flavor, next time I think less crackers and one more egg and add more fresh herbs. Thanks for the recipe though, it's great to go from!

Almond Biscotti

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
A dear friend of mine gave me this exact recipe and we both seemed to misplace the recipe when we get the "feel" to bake these. I just baked the biscotti and of course they came out wonderfully! One thing different that I did is when you cut the bread to shape the biscotti, and baked for 10 min (@ 300 F), then flip and bake the other side. I turn off the oven after 10 min and then leave them in there until they are absolutely cooled off. They come out more crunchy and drier for coffee! I also add dried fruits when I get the hankerin' - This is a fail proof recipe and I highly recommend it!

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This was a big hit especially with the pumpkin as the bowl! Great seasonal appetizer. The consistency of this dip is like a mouse and you definitely need the sweeter cookies (like graham cracker sticks) Also, I mixed the pumpkin and vanilla pudding powder together and then added the cool whip and added the pumpkin spice. I increased the spice 1/4 tsp more. I just felt I couldn't taste it at first. I don't know if it really needed it. It was great over all and super easy!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
The funny thing is we are lactose intolerant so we rarely carry milk in the house, and when I had the craving for some pancakes, I only had heavy cream. So I diluted the heavy cream with the same amount of water and measured what I needed for milk and followed the recipe with the vanilla and butter added and it was not bubbly and foamy but it fluffed up when I put it in to the pan! Yummm! Love the recipe! Thx!

Mom's Stovetop Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
OK, I have to admit these were DELICIOUS! One thing I did wrong was the water and the kind of ribs I used where rack ribs. It still came out delicious. I bought country style ribs and will do this again. I also added sweet soy sauce (Bought @ authentic Asian market, not grocery store) and it gave it a nice little sweetness. I have a recipe for the soy sauce but I didn't use allot. Just about 2 tablespoons while boiling. Did everything else the same. GOOD RECIPE!!!!! Highly recommend! Thank you for posting it!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I found it to be a very good base. I ended up using some mashed potatoes that I had in my fridge as leftovers to thicken up the soup. I also added some velveta cheese (1/2 cup) and ground garlic (1 TB) for extra taste. Other that that it was a hit! I also made some fresh amish bread to serve with this, which also turned out great. Thanks for the recipe!

It was weird to follow the directions. Definitely something you got to do a day in advance. I ended up mid recipe changing to Nestle's choco chip cookie recipe.

Marble Swirl Pound Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
It's ok. I have tasted better from the store. Took longer in my oven but I think it's because I used a pampered chef ceramic loaf pan. I used less flour and added water to the cocoa batter, because it was like cookie dough! I probably should have used more vanilla or maybe some imitation rum to make it more fragrant. I think I might play with this one once more. Thanks for the recipe!

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
This recipe is really nice, you can make any kind of adjustments. I used pork sausage in my meatball mixture and used a little more garlic and bread crumbs. I also boiled the orzo separately with salted water, then rinsed with cold water to stop the cooking process. I added the orzo 5 minutes before serving and I did not loose any of the broth and it was even better the next day! Enjoy!
