Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Going to add my bit here- LOVE this. I omit the flour, as I like the velvety smooth texture. I made sure I let everything come to room temperature before starting (bought the ingredients then left them on the counter) I baked it at 300F for 1.5 hours in a tinfoil wrapped spring form pan set in a bath of boiling water. Then I let it sit for another 2-3 hours. I had no problems with cracking/bubbling/browning. We at it later that night, and WOW. Between three of us, half of it was gone. Just about to make another. So good.

German Baby

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
Wonderful! Just like the Dutch Babies at one of my favorite restaurants. I ended up cutting the recipe to 1/3, since I wasn't too hungry, and I whipped it up in my blender. Took me all of 30 minutes from "I could try this," to calling people to tell them how good it is. It came out beautifully. I garnished it with powdered sugar and fresh lemon juice. So easy and so elegant. Perfection.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
This recipe is fantastic. Very quick- Took me about twenty minutes, and that includes clean up. It's also a great base recipe. I made mine with cilantro, jalapanoes, corn, and canned tomatoes (I didn't have salsa). It was amazing. Next time I'll toss some left over chicken on top, and maybe use more beans, as I like my soup a little thicker. This is defiently a recipe to try again and again.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
I used home made Cajun Seasoning (1/2 tsp each garlic powder, onion salt, Paprika, and cayenne, plus 1 tsp pepper), and it came out SPICY. Next time I'll tone down the seasoning with flour to coat my chicken, since that much spice is too much for some people (I loved it though). The other flavors melded very well- they weren't overpowered by the spice. This makes a great cold weather recipe, and also goes great with a light sweet salad.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
Every time I make this I get rave reviews. I made the mistake of taking to poker night, now I have to make a batch every week. It's a good thing that it's so easy. Even people who don't like spinach or artichokes have been caught licking the dish clean.

Beer Margaritas

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
Wow! My aunt made these for me, and even though I detest beer I loved these! She cut down on the tequilla and added Triple Sec, and I think she used bud light. Now I can use up all the beer that people leave at my house. Thanks for the WONDERFUL recipe!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
My husband and I both liked this very much. Though I did make some changes- I substituted sesame seed oil for the olive oil, I added ground ginger to the sauce, and I added a thinly sliced onion. It came out wonderfully! It was great served over coconut rice (rice cooked with a bit of coconut milk) and stir fried bell peppers. It made a great Asian themed meal. We'll be having this again.

Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
I made this for a big get together I had, and made it in the crock pot. I continued to add broth as it cooked, and I used a few different breads (what I had on hand, I like options). So easy! And good! It is almost as good as my Grandmother's (and hers has almost started fights at Christmas). I made a vegetarian version too, and that was also a hit. I'll be using this recipe again.
