Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
This was the first time I made cheesecake. The first time I made it as stated. It came out with a custard like taste (which I dont like). But it had no cracks and was slightly sunk in. The 2nd time I made it I used a wooden spoon, 2 tablespoons less flour and used a water bath. It came out perfect. Nice and smooth no cracks, a lighter shade of brown, and perfectly level :) My honey loved his cheesecake :) Thanks reviewers for posting what worked best for you.

Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
I didnt give it 5 stars because I made modifications to the recipe. I added a lot less balsamic and more basil (2 Tablespoons more), more pine nuts (total 1/3 cup), more olive oil and red wine(1/8 cup more each). I also added cracked pepper and 2 lbs of salad shrimp. I think this recipe is a good starting platform. My family liked it.

Creamy Potato Leek Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I thought the recipe was pretty good. I used veggie broth in place of water and I put in chopped Tofurky for some added flavor.

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
I really liked this recipe. In place of oil, diced apple and apple butter I used 1 cup of regular apple sauce and 1/2 cup of chunky apple sauce. I also used dried cranberries in place of rasins. It turned out better than I thought. I forgot about the walnuts but the wheat germ was a nice touch. Next time I will try dried blueberries and maybe mix in some flax seeds. Thanks for the recipe. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I don't like to grate carrots.
