Rosemary Herb Bread

I dipped this bread in olive oil with some italian spices in it and it was AMAZING. Didn't have the fresh spices so I added half teaspoon extra of the rosemary for a little extra zing. Also, added 1/2 tablespoon extra of butter, didn't use margarine, just 2 T of butter. Excellent!

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Absolutely fabulous! I used Halibut and marinated about 5 hours then cooked on a piece of foil on the grill. I also threw a piece of chicken in with the marinade and it turned out fabulous as well. Will use again with chicken, fish or pork chops!

Tuna Noodle Supreme

Pretty good. I used a can of green beans in place of the broccoli, because that is what my husband likes. Used all low fat versions of the recommended ingredients but still had a nice creamy consistency.

Drop Biscuits and Gravy

Haven't tried the gravy, but I make the biscuits all the time with my Grandpa's gravy recipe. LOVE THE SIMPLICITY OF THE BISCUITS!!!!!

Grandma's Peach French Toast

I used regular oatmeal flavored sandwich bread ripped up (7 slices) on top of this. It turned out VERY good as far as the bread goes. I also used frozen peaches. Next time I would thaw them in a strainer as this time it diluted my caramel layer. I only give it four stars because as far as quantity of peaches it did need more. I think I might try diced peaches next time to make it feel like there is more.

Laurie's Stuffed Peppers

Pretty good. I used only 3 peppers, one package of sausage, one can of tomoatoes (with chiles), 2 cups rice, half of a fresh tomato, whole onion and mozz cheese. My husband really loved it and my kids weren't so crazy about it (2 and 1).

Wow! I really loved this. I did omit the oil though. It did get a little thick the next day so I dipped, more like scooped the soup up on garlic bread. That was really good. I added halved baby carrots for a little color and texture. They were great in there! My kids (2 and 1) loved it as well.

Fresh Ginger Cookies

I used two teaspoons of ginger instead of fresh ginger and they turned out great. It was kind of weird that some ended up very flat and others very puffed (in the same pan), I think I will mix it more next time.

Honey Mustard BBQ Pork Chops

Put it in the crock pot on high for 3 hours and then on low for about 2 and it was amazing. Didn't marinate at all. Great recipe.

Very Berry Muffins

Pretty good. I upped the brown sugar to 1/3 and used frozen raspberries. You definitely need to use non-stick spray in the pan or muffin cups. I didn't have any and just used a little oil rubbed into the tins and it stuck like crazy. But they were pretty good.

Pizza Dough I

I added some Italian season to this and let it rise for about 40 minutes. It was SO good. I have also made it without letting it rise and it was a lot tougher crust. It was amazing when I let it rise. I have also substituted in whole wheat flour, brown sugar and olive oil and it turned out very nice when allowed to rise.

I added cilantro and yellow pepper. The cumin flavor was a bit too much for me. It took a while to adjust to the flavor, but by the 5th or 6th bite it was ok.

Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

Just made these and loved them. I changed a few things though. I used whole wheat flour, used a 1/4 cup of flax, 1/4 cup butter instead of shortening, 1/4 cup of sweetened applesauce, 1 teaspoon of almond. I also plumped my raisins first. So maybe it's not the same recipe anymore...but it was amazing!

Oat Crusted Fish

Wonderful! I added a little lemon pepper to the flour part and it was great. I will DEFINITELY make this again. I used it on sunfish from opener this weekend.
