Loved these! I've never had Snicker Doodles before so I'm happy my first taste was from this recipe. I'll be making these again for sure!

Microwave Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
I made 2 batches in the time it would have taken to make one on the stove top.. wonderful! Followed the recipe and times exactly as written except I used an extra 1/2 cup of peanuts. I spread it out on a dry piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet.

Very tasty! Squirted lemon over the salmon after it was done. Great addition to my recipe box!

E-Z Drop Biscuits

I really liked adding the melted butter instead of blending in shortening. So much quicker and these were delicious!

Carrot Cake Muffins with Cinnamon Glaze

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
This rating is for the glaze.. loved it! I wanted a glaze for my carrot cake that wasn't cream cheese based and found this one to try. Wonderful!

Easy Tomato Soup Spice Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
I've always made my tomato soup cake from scratch so I was pretty excited to see this "shortcut"! All I added was some raisins. Delicious! Thanks for the time-saver =)

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
New family favourite! I forgot the butter, seasoned the chicken with lots of garlic and onion powders (instead of the chopped onion) and pepper and used chicken stock instead of water and 9 boneless, skinless chicken thighs instead of the breasts since that's what I had on hand. I also added little potatoes (probably won't add those again) and half bag of baby carrots (will definitely add those again). One can of 10 biscuits made 40 dumplings. I couldn't imagine adding more than that as my slow cooker was filled almost to the lid once the dumplings got going. Really tasty!

Overnight Eggnog French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2012
I thought the taste was right on.. good eggnog flavour. A whole loaf of bread was too much bread and the mixture didn't soak through it all. I would toss the bread strips in the mixture in a big bowl and then dump it all in the pan. The butter/sugar mixture was delicious but would have liked more of it. A good recipe and especially good for a quick easy breakfast but I don't think I'll make this again. My family liked it though so 4 stars for them!

Red Hot Applesauce Jell-O®

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2012
I thought this was ok. Others said they liked it and said it was delicious, but most of it was still left at the end of the dinner.

Cherry Cobbler I

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
This is very very good! I also reduced the sugar in both the batter and the syrup by 1/4 cup each, and added a tsp of almond extract to the batter. I'll definnitely use this recipe again with other fruits!

Old Fashioned Raisin Pie I

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
Just like Gramma used to make.. except she made the pies on cookie sheets! Made this exactly as instructed but doubled the recipe as suggested. Could have actually only just 1 1/2'd the recipe for my 10" glass pie pan as I had filling left over (oh my! left over goodness? dreadful lol!) No fault of the recipe.. just me wanting more of a good thing! =)

Mincemeat Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
I used a whole jar of good quality mincemeat (750ml) and the zest from a whole orange (as another reviewer suggested) otherwise everything else stayed the same. These are delicious!! So much easier than tarts. I would also line the pan with parchment or something to make getting out of the pan easier and easier cleanup afterward. Excellent recipe thanks!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
Excellent! I followed the directions to the letter (without nuts) and it came out perfect! Surprisingly it was not as sweet as I anticipated - still plenty sweet though. The medium-low heat is certainly the trick. It took longer than 5 minutes - I eventually got out the candy thermometer - but the results are worth it!

I doubled the recipe and filled 30 tart shells. Very pretty for Christmas and really really tasty! A really good faux cherry pie but not quite. I'll still make these again. Thanks for the recipe!

Dad's Asian Slaw

Delicious! My 16-yr old son made this and was looking very proud of himself for making such a great salad. He followed the recipe exactly. Saved the noodles for adding in 1/2 hour before serving and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Thanks!
