Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2012
Yeah, this one is a winner! I have never soured milk before and I thought I had done something terribly wrong when it curdled, but it was all good. Added chocolate chips to them and my kids devoured them!

Waffles II

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
Sorry for the 2 star! But I have tried to make these twice.....once followed the recipe exactly, the 2nd time i added sugar and vanilla, but still very bland. I know waffles aren't intended to be a spectacular party in your mouth, but I expect them to be better than box mix if I am going to slave away! :-)

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2005
I also hate giving this another 5 star, but this is the best cinnamon roll recipe. It even beats my mothers. !?!? I made the dough, rolled it out and let the rolls rise over night, then cooked them in the morning. ::::::TIP::::::: When cutting the cinnamon roll "log", use dental floss. Slide the floss under the log, then 1-2 inches in, bring the floss ends up and over to cross each other, pinching the cinnamon roll off. Does that make sense? It make perfectly cut rolls! (now THAT I learned from my mom!)

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2005
This dip was good...although I have had better. I made it today, "testing" it for our SuperBowl party next week. My husband ate it, but only said it was OK. After about 20 min. of simmering, it started bleeding oil...don't know if it was from the cheese or what. Anyways. I like the Chicken Enchilada Dip better!

Cocktail Meatballs I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2005
I made about 600 meatballs for my receptions and froze them 2 weeks ahead of time. I made the sauce the afternoon of the reception, and so all the girls I hired had to do was throw the thawed meatballs in the sauce! (I had those tin heater catering things, so it was kept warm all night) There wasn't one meatball left! Perfect for big gatherings because you can prepare in advance.

American Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2004
OK. If you want a recipe that your husband will actually request all the time...this is it! It is so easy to throw together (well except the potatoes, but that is was makes it good! real mashers) I have made it about 4 different times in the past 6 weeks, everytime making it a little different! (add rotel, add vegis, add Adobo, it's fun to be imaginative with this recipe!) Thanks!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2004
This is a great recipe! I added ricotta cheese as advised by other reviews and also added Italian sausage. I made 5 pans of this (they are sleeping in the freezer right now!) for our reception for 80 people and will let you all know how it goes!! Of course I had to make a trial run pan to make sure it was good. :-)

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2004
This was pretty good; I doubled the sauce though as many suggested and it turned out great. Didn't have the chili paste, but came out just as hot; I will use it next time!

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2004
I followed other's suggestions about the sugar and the water (1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water), and I used 5 fresh Georgia Peaches. Turned out GREAT! I would actually use 6 next time. Also, this is a great recipe to use in your stonewear; it came out great in mine.

Chicken Enchilada Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2003
What a hit at the Halloween Party! I only used 4 oz. of mayo and added a cup of cheese. I also added Rotel and Adobo; made it the night before and then threw it in the fridge. An hour before the party, all I had to do was put the dip in a crock pot and watch it disappear....!!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2002
I hate to be a spoil sport, but I really was not impressed with this recipe; I was looking for soft caramel corn. The header said to cook for less time if you wanted chewy corn, so I did. Didn't turn out. If you like hard CC, then this is the recipe for you!

I used fat free vanilla yogurt as suggested by another review and was great! Even the man liked it (and he usually can detect fat free items!) Thanks...

Florida Key Lime Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2002
I was lazy and out of time, so I did not do the topping like she suggested, but instead just served it with cool whip. It was a huge hit at TWO parties!! Thanks! I have to add to this again....I STILL make this pie and it STILL disappears anywhere I take it. So easy!!
