Baked Scallops

Reviewed: May 31, 2013
I made these tonight with a small steak and thought they were wonderful. I rolled them in the butter and bread crumbs as per other reviewers. They were wonderful and sweet. My friends tend to serve scallops wrapped in bacon, no seasoning and they usually end up dried out and salty from the bacon. Can't wait to introduce them to this recipe! Thank you.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: May 23, 2013
I love this bruschetta recipe! Much better than what you get in most restaurants. I follow exactly as written and everyone loves it. Today I made it for a birthday dinner I am doing for my friend (steak and lobster tails). I added chopped marinated artichokes this time which my favourite little greek restaurant does and it put it right over the top. I didn't think it could get better. I'm glad there are only going to be two of us so we will get lots!!!!

Salmon Rosemary Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2012
I am trying to make a fish or seafood dinner every Friday night. These burgers were perfect. I served them with a relish made of diced tomato, green onion, cucumber, feta, lemon juice, lemon zest and mayo. Amazing flavour, we loved them! Thank you!

One of my favourites! Best made the day before and I also add one head of cauliflower and sometimes raisins. Love it!

Good Dog Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
We have a dog grooming salon and often dogs turn up their noses at treats we purchase. They LOVE these. I am spending all of today making them to put in goodie bags for the clients at Christmas. Only changes I made was to add 1 tablespoon each of garlic powder and flax seed. I am doing all different shapes, bones, trees etc., but the easiest and a nice size for treats are cutting small squares, and do it on the cookie sheet. One batch gave me 36- 2 1/2 inch bones plus 10- 4 1/2 inch bones. Thank you so much for this recipe.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
My 4 grown up kids love chicken wings and either do them in the turkey fryer for a football game or buy them in a frozen box. I decided to try this recipe but in the oven and they were amazing. I increased the spices, rolled in flour mix and let sit for 90 minutes in fridge. Sprayed with Pam, put in 400 oven and flipped after about 30 minutes. They were amazing on their own but rocked when we dipped them in one of my homemade sauces, honey/garlic, buffalo and barbque. My daughter loved them and grandson gave them his finger licking approval. What I like is that when I have company I will be able to prepare the sauces ahead, have the wings floured and ready for the stress entertaining. I may try baking them, put in individual sauces, then reheat for about 10 minutes before serving???? Anyway, I won't be deep frying them anymore, tasted better in oven. Thanks

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
Love it! I make soup all the time and this has become a favourite. We will be eating more ham dinners just so I have extra ham to make it. Very simple, easy & like most soups it is better the next day. I often add grated carrots and frozen peas toward the end of cooking, also like to lightly mash the potatoes a little bit to thicken. I've got a huge batch of it on the stove right now and can't wait for it to be ready. Thanks for a great recipe.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
I used this recipe at Super Bowl, with some changes in presentation, and it was amazing. I used a frozen berry mix and apples, strawberry preserves and just a bit of sugar. Next time I will omit the sugars. Instead of serving in a bowl as a salsa I put a mix of cream cheese and marshmallow cream in a 9x12 pan then topped it with the fruit salsa. I thought it might be too girly for the guys but they loved it. It was like eating fruit topped cheese cake with yummy cinnamon chips!

Easy Ham and Cheese Appetizer Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2007
These are great! I made a sample batch before making them for an upcoming baby shower and I am totally sold!!!! Every one that dropped in (we have a busy house) tried them and loved them. I used shaved ham, grated cheddar and one tablespoon of dijon and one of honey mustard for the butter mix. The same night I was cooking up some pan fried pork chops and used the butter mix for them instead of oil or butter. They were amazing also. Thank you for a great recipe.
