Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
This was my first time making fudge and I'm glad I chose this recipe! It turned out great! So easy and so good!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
Delicious! I used the tip from others and put whole chicken breasts in (uncooked) and after a few hours took them out, shredded them and put them back in the soup. Garnishing with sour cream puts it over the moon! Healthy, too!

Quick Chicken with Asparagus and Provolone

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
Made this for dinner and my husband raved over it and wants to serve it when his parents visit! My two picky boys even ate it sans asparagus. I pounded the chicken first, and used a cup of broth and 1/2 cup white wine, fresh asparagus and given amounts of egg and bread crumbs to make six chicken breasts. Delicious with a great presentation. The extra sauce was poured on the egg noodles I served as a side. Yum!

Easy Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
This definitely tasted like a taco! It seemed to be missing something though. Maybe more salsa would help. My husband liked it and kids ate it too! But it's something you have to be in the mood to have. Made a good taco salad.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
I'm not a BBQ fan, but this was really good. My husband wants me to make it again and shred it to serve on buns, as someone else suggested. Tasty!

So easy and so good- my kids even ate it. I used Pace picante sauce because it's all we had and it was terrific.

Spicy Pizza Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2007
We really liked this recipe. Based on other reviews of soup being too thick I only used one can of tomato sauce. I also used Jimmy Dean Italian sausage (no casings) and it tasted terrific! I also used another reviewer suggestion and did not add pasta to the soup at all. I just poured the soup over the pasta until the pasta was swimming in it. Pasta stayed firm and was delicious. Made great leftovers too!

Beef Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2007
Yummy! I put all ingredients except the egg noodles in the slow cooker for about 6 hours and the meat was soooo tender and the flavors melded perfectly. Adding egg noodles at the end of cooking helped keep them firm. The egg noodles also made this enticing for our two little ones. This one's a keeper!

Don't Want to Cook Monday Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2007
My husband loved this! The only changes I made were to use horseradish mustard- then doubled the amount called for, and used a fire roasted vegetable blend for the bottom layer. (roast potatoes, broccoli, green beans, red peppers and onions from Schwann's- Made the dish taste even better and looked pretty, too!) I'll be making this one again!

Artichoke Chicken

This was great! I followed the suggestion of others and used low-fat sour cream and low-fat mayo. We really liked it! I'll make again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
I was surprised at how delicious this was- I'm not a gravy person, but this was tasty! I actually ended up using a 2 lb. arm roast- it's hard to find bigger cuts around here... I shook on some garlic powder before putting it in the roaster. I only used one can of soup and substituted a full can of beef broth for the water. After 3 1/2 hours it was tender and wonderful! The gravy was basically the consistency of water, so I added some flour to thicken it up and voila- gravy! Salty, but that's probably why I liked it. My husband loved it and thinks I actually know how to cook now.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2007
I took everyone's suggestion and added a can of tomato paste, but wish I wouldn't have. It was very, very thick. Loved the ease of preparation and my husband really liked it. Added lots of spices, but thought it have more of a tang. I'll make again using the original recipe on one of those nights when I'm in a hurry. A good dinner over pasta with a salad and rolls, just not a 5-star "the best" in my opinion.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Yum! My husband and I were pleasantly suprised with this. Tried it for the first time tonight and followed the directions for everything except the butter- omitted it, and the cream- used 2% milk instead. A terrific and deilicious alternative to jar sauce- easy too!

Yummy Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
This was pretty good. Liked the green chili addition, but the cream cheese was over the top. Made it almost too rich. I'll stick with soupier versions of artichoke dip.

No Bake Double Good Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Wow- this was good and very rich! And I even cut back the sugar by half... I love dessert and a small piece was enough for me, so this actually lasted a few days at our house.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
This is so easy and very good. It goes well with pasta -topped with Tomato Cream Sauce for Pasta- from this website, and a green salad. On its own it's good, although seems like it's missing something to enhance the garlic flavor. My husband and both boys ate it, so it gets at least 4 stars!

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
I read the reviews, tripled the sauce, added the veggies, etc... and as this was cooking I realized I was making a Green Giant Create-A-Meal. Seriously, if you've ever had the Szechwan Create-A-Meal, this is the same thing except with more work and actually less flavor. They even include peanuts and awesome veggies in the package- all you add is the meat. Soooo, while this was pretty good (but didn't have nearly the flavor I thought it would) next time I will stick with my quick, easy, and tasty Green Giant Create-A-Meal.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
This is a great meatless dish. I made it just as directed except halved the recipe and still had leftovers. I'm basing my rating on what the dish was. I really wanted it to be more like lasanga, but if you want something like that make sure you include extra ingredients like Ital. sausage, etc... and voila!

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
Maybe it was the fact that I knew everything came from a can, or maybe it was that I added a can of cream of chicken soup, but I just wasn't thrilled with this soup. Didn't like the cream soup suggestion- made it taste like that soup from a bag you sometimes get in a restaurant. The best chicken tortilla soup is the Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup from this website. Just as easy when you put the uncooked chicken breasts in the slow cooker and shred later (just takes longer to cook)and tastes divine!!
