Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2012
Tastes great. I followed the recipe exactly and the topping (for the most part) remained on top. Next time I may try mixing the "sauce" and apples prior to baking. But, it worked out well and tasted great.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Great recipe to start, though I made a few changes. I finely chopped my onions and sauteed in the pan with butter and a little garlic. I buttered my baking dish generously and started making layers: first potatoes, then onions, and then cheese sauce. I made three layers like this and topped the whole thing with a little more shredded cheddar. I baked it the same amount of time, but removed the cover for the last 20 minutes or so. Served with prime rib roast for Christmas dinner. Very good!

Grandma's Blueberry Pie

Ridiculously easy recipe with exceptionally tasty results. I used frozen blueberries added extra tapioca and a bit of extra sugar...turned out great! We even ate it warm.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
I added more milk...without it, I don't think these would have cooked to anything more than a golden frisbee. I also took others suggestion and cut the vinegar in half. With that said, the addition/subtractrion made the pancakes pretty good.

Cinnamon Rolls III

Good solid cinnamon roll recipes. I would prefer more cream cheese, but, that isn't a "mall" cinnamon roll. So...good job.

Great recipe. I add a bottle or two of beer for flavor and to thin out the mix a bit.

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
Great recipe. I half this and make it regularly for our small family. I think I sneak extra cheese in. I recommend leaving the bacon aside (use on top when serving) so that it doesn't get soft. I use some of the reserved bacon grease for the roux giving the soup the taste of bacon.

Peanutty Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
Great recipe. You better like caramel. Next time I may add a few extra nuts/cheerios to cut the caramel a bit. Don't eat until they have set in the fridge! After they set...fantastic.
