About this Cook
I'm 26, a college student, cook dinner for me and my husband almost every day, and have two wonderful doggie children named Gizelle and Ginger.
My favorite things to cook
I love making Italian food, breadmaking, and baking just about anything. My husband tires of all of those, especially the baked goods as he doesn't have much of a sweet tooth. But when I do bake up some cookies, he takes them along to work where he quickly becomes the most popular boy at school!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother who absolutely insisted on dessert after dinner. She usually prepared something special like a cake or something she called Frappe, which I think was some kind of fruit custard served layered in a tall glass. Even if she only had ice cream for us, we always got dessert!
My cooking triumphs
Making my first Thanksgiving dinner by myself for my brand new husband, father and sister in law. Several courses and it took me two days!
My cooking tragedies
I had this ill conceived idea to throw a bridal shower for a friend and 40 others and served four different fondues. After I burned the chocolate one, scalded the caramel sauce, and the marinara boiled all over the place, we called it a day and ate the back up tea sandwiches I made!

Turtle Bread
I thought it turned out very cute. I used olives for the eyes. Bread's taste could be a little better. Maybe a little more butter or olive oil next time. Very cute though!

Cajun Chicken Pasta
Well we just went bonkers for this. I used one really big red pepper instead of the green one because I didn't have one but kept it the same, maybe an extra green onion though. YUMMMMMMY!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
This is UNREAL. So delish. I used a can of Coke since I didn't have Root Beer, and the pork shoulder cut (here in south Texas it's labeled CARNITAS). I used homemade barbeque sauce. Make this and let the compliments ROLL in.
