About this Cook
My Japanese mother cooked for me daily and I always wanted to cook with her when I was young. I was shewed away but then when I was a teenager she wanted me to cook. Phhggh!By then I didn't want to....Well, I got married several years later and I wished I learned how to cook. I can read a recipe but a lot of the times it doesn't turn out. Every week I'm trying new recipes. I hope to cook as well as my mother in the future.
My favorite things to cook
gyoza, california rolls, miso soup, strawberry cake, tator-tot casserole

Bacon-Egg English Muffin
Pretty good for breakfast, my kids really liked it. This was the first time poaching an egg for me and I'm not sure if I I added too much water or not. I didn't like the way a poached egg tasted. I partially fried/steamed the other batch and liked the way it tasted that way. I used cheddar cheese instead and added lettuce to it.I feel that it needs some type of sauce to give it a 5 star.

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas
I'm not really a fan of enchiladas but my husband is so I decided to find a good recipe. I'm glad that I did! This recipe is so good I became a fan. I accidentally used cream of mushroom instead of cream of chicken and it still tasted great. I also added 1/2 of a tomato diced on top and lemon juice instead of lime.

Roasted Rack of Lamb
It turns out I didn't have any bread crumbs so I substituted Panko for the bread crumbs. I crushed the Panko bread crumbs to make the texture more fine like regular bread crumbs. I didn't have any rosemary so i substituted the rosemary for 1/2 tsp. of dried Thyme. I was worried it wouldn't taste good with all the changes but everyone loved it and said it was restaurant quality! It did take a little longer than the recipe says (I don't like my meat rare). I think it took a little over 10 minutes than the recipe asked for.
