Green Bean Bundles I

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2010
I have been making these for years, but I have one more secret for you! Add a dry mix of italian dressing before the wet dressing. Also let them marinate over night or longer and the flavore is absorbed and pickles the green beans. I keep two cans soaking in my fridge at all times so we can have this treat and any time.

Anniversary Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
this is a great start to make this to everyone's liking. I added diced bell peppers with the onions and seasoned the chicken with garlic powder, and left off the parmesan cheese to bake until the last few minutes. I did mix the parmesan with enough mayo and parsley flakes to broil a great topping that added that kick it needed. Thanks for sharing this!

Green Bean Bundles II

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
These are a staple around my house. (the green bean bundles with brown sugar are too) I find that it is easiest to keep a smaller container full of these marinating at all times. This helps to have them on hand for those nights when we want them and I had not planned ahead.(like a busy mom has time for that!) When I cook them, I use the 2 cans that were marinated, so I just replace them with 2 more. I never liked green beans until I discovered this recipe from my aunt. They are really addictive!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with others. It is truly delicious.

Easy Cheesy Chicken II

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
Found this while last minute recipe searching. After reading other reviews I decided to add some flavor. I added parsley flakes, garlic powder, powdered grated parmesan(Kraft in the plastic round container),salt/pepper, and a dash of celery salt to the breading. Then baked covered until the chicken was almost done. I removed the foil and baked long enough for the crust to brown and achieve the crisp stage. I then sprinkled fresh parmesan, cheddar, and mozz. cheese on top and let melt in the oven. Served with mashed pot., spinach madeline, mac & cheese (for my daughter), and yeast rolls. Everyone enjoyed this version and it will become a great meal for the kids! Thanks for the great start with this recipe!

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
This was superb! I only wanted to make one so I cut the entire recipe in half. I used the five cheese italian blend of cheeses with a small handfull of cheddar too, and sprinkled the Italian cheese on top. I also added chunky salsa per my likes and 1/2 teaspoon celery salt. My entire family loved the spinach once I made them try it. It has been voted a keeper at our house. Thanks for this great recipe!!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
I will admit, this combo sounded a little strange to me but it was well worth it! I did make a few minor additions and it was gone before I even had leftovers to put up.

Mexican Cornbread Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
I had leftover cornbread from Easter, so this was perfect! I did use the advice given by other users and double my ranch dressing. I added the cumin , a little salt/pepper,garlic powder and about 1/4 cup of milk to make the consistency easier to moisten the cornbread. I had leftover chicken so I put it in my dicer and added a layer of this before the bacon. We love lettuce so I did chop some and put in under the corn layer. It was ***** stars all the way! My better half tried it (not to his will) and absolutely loved it!

Creamy Sourdough Snack

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
This dip is a staple around my house. Although it does turn out with a better consistency for dipping if the sour cream is 8 oz. I let the cream cheese get room temp (or barely warm it in the microwave) then mix all ingredients together. Place the mix into the hollow bread bowl and wrap entirely in foil. Place in a preheated oven at 350 and bake 30-35 minutes. The baking process seems to work better than the stove top method for us. I also add variations of peppers, chiles, and crumbled bacon to change it up. I take the bread that was hollowed out and toast it to use for dipping too.... the Hawaiian bread tastes the best. I hope this will help anyone who reads. Thanks for the great recipe base!!

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
This is one of my all time favorite snacks! They taste much better with a can of Rotel -- drain first. I also add a pinch of garlic powder and diced ham along with the bacon. Sometimes I add green onions for an extra kick and a few sprinkles of parmesan to the mix. There are NEVER any left! I have been using this recipe for years and saw it here...THANKS for letting others see this great treat. You will crave these once you have tasted them. My daughter requests these at least once a month.

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2006
This was so easy, but I did make a few alterations. I added 2 teaspoons of coconut extract to the cake mix for a more home made taste. I also took the advice of others so I only used the cream of coconut without the sweetened condensed milk.( this was plenty moist ) I used cool whip french vanilla and topped with coconut. It was a big hit!! No one would believe that this was so easy and quick to make!! Thanks for this shorter version, it will quickly become one of my favorites!

No-Fuss Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
I am always looking for new recipes and this was a smash!! I used stove top savory herbs stuffing, added diced onion and bell peppers, and 2 heaping spoons of ketchup to the mix. I then added one more egg for the consistency. I used two smaller loaf pans to baked this and we have NO leftovers!!! Thanks for a great and easy meal!!

Philly Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2006
I doubled the potatoes, and omitted the eggs. Then added 1 heaping tablespoon butter and 3 heaping tablespoons sour cream while mashing. I also added dried parsley and a cup of shredded cheddar cheese while mixing. Before topping with the fried onions, I covered the potato mixture with more shredded cheddar. There were none left!!( this made a 9x13 ) My family is begging for more already.

Caramel Pie II

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2006
After reading some of the reviews, I decided to boil the cans a little longer to have a thicker pie. It turned out wonderful! But I agree with the user who said to let the cans cool for 40 min. then flip and cool for another 40 min. It helps the caramel to thicken for a fuller pie, not runny. I topped this with cool whip then drizzled caramel on top....it was a smash hit for a quick version!
