About this Cook
I am a single mom with times stretched in every direction! I love to cook and it has always been an activity that my daughter and I can share. It's a great way for quality time together.
My favorite things to cook
Anything really. I am always up for a challenge so new recipes anre always a thrill for us.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Being born and raised in the South, vegetables are a large part of our diet. We also enjoy the fresh wild game that we are fortunate enouth to have. It is so much better fresh.
My cooking triumphs
Making recipes that my grandmother has alwys made and having my family think that she made it because mine turned out so well.
My cooking tragedies
I will tackle any recipe out there, but for some reason my bread, or toast always gets forgotten! Its a joke here that my specialty is "you burn 'em bread"

Green Bean Bundles I
I have been making these for years, but I have one more secret for you! Add a dry mix of italian dressing before the wet dressing. Also let them marinate over night or longer and the flavore is absorbed and pickles the green beans. I keep two cans soaking in my fridge at all times so we can have this treat and any time.

Anniversary Chicken II
this is a great start to make this to everyone's liking. I added diced bell peppers with the onions and seasoned the chicken with garlic powder, and left off the parmesan cheese to bake until the last few minutes. I did mix the parmesan with enough mayo and parsley flakes to broil a great topping that added that kick it needed. Thanks for sharing this!

Green Bean Bundles II
These are a staple around my house. (the green bean bundles with brown sugar are too) I find that it is easiest to keep a smaller container full of these marinating at all times. This helps to have them on hand for those nights when we want them and I had not planned ahead.(like a busy mom has time for that!) When I cook them, I use the 2 cans that were marinated, so I just replace them with 2 more. I never liked green beans until I discovered this recipe from my aunt. They are really addictive!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with others. It is truly delicious.
