About this Cook
I love to experiment with new things. I work around a diverse group of people so my range of food choices have expanded. I am a former caterer and I love to cook but don't always have the time. You can often catch me peeping through the slow cooker recipes!
My favorite things to cook
Soul Food (or southern cuisine), Italian, Vegetarian, Mexican, you name it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Even when I had a tiny apartment, scores of my family members would cram in to get a taste from Jazzi's kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
Finally did something with my Thanksgiving leftovers and made the After Thanksgiving Turkey Soup from this website. IT WAS FANTASTIC. I also get rave reviews on my apple cobbler, tex-mex three bean chili and my famous Buttermilk Sweet Sensation Cake.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make homemade dumplings for my chicken and dumplings recipe. Oh, my poor family! They were absolutely horrible. Dumplings are one thing I don't do...Now I grab some canned biscuits, cut them into squares, drop them in the pot and dinner is saved!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is the end all be all of chocolate chip cookie recipes. I recently made these and got rave reviews! I added a little of my own jazzi touch to them and they were outstanding. This is close to a recipe that I alway used. I followed the recipe to letter and then added a half block of cream cheese (creamed with the butter and sugar) and two tsp. of cinnamon. They were absolutely delicious and will become a staple in my holiday and special events baking. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!
