Classic Bran Muffins
These are great. I used 1 c. milk and 1 Tbsp lemon juice instead of buttermilk, put in half whole wheat flour, and accidently cooked them at 450 for 15 min. great texture. i also used dried cranberries instead of raisins.

Totally Tangy Baked French Fries
if you bake them on stoneware they get crispy. it still takes a little extra time, but no broiling is needed. if you haven't tried stoneware yet you should. definately my best kitchen investment.

Lentil Soup I
i added mushroom, a few more spices twice the water and accidentally (don't ask) a can of vegetarian baked beans. i left everything "whole," but cooked it long enough to mash on its own. it turned out awesome. i'll certainly make it again.
