Simple Beef Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2014
This was easy and delicious. I wanted a recipe that didn't use the crockpot or take all day. Using what I had on hand, I used red wine instead of beer and chicken stock. Great with mashed potatoes.

Strawberry-Cucumber Salad with Almonds and Mint

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
Delicious and refreshing. I doubled the dressing ingredients to have enough to coat a good amount of lettuce. I used regular cucumbers and added grape tomatoes, too. I also used two large basil leaves cut chiffonade, instead of the mint. Will make this all through the CNY strawberry season!

Delicious; just wilted the greens into the stock and then blended in the pot with a hand blender.

Rhubarb Sauce II

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
I made this exactly as written; perfect sweet-tart blend. Used a mandolin to slice it thin, but may just rough chop it next time.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
Mix the eggs & wet ingredients together, then sift in the flour and you will get ridiculously easy, "magically delicious" crepes. This was the first time I made them and, oh my goodness, they came out great. A 1/4 cup makes a small sized crepe. Tilt the pan right away since they start cooking immediately. I set my electric griddle at 325 degrees. Served these with Rhubarb Sauce II on this site. Outstanding.
