About this Cook
I am a student in college earning a degree in nutrition.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE sweet potatoes-you can use them in every way possible. However, i am more of a baker. People love my brownies, cookies, fudge and all sorts of treats. I think i got my love of baking from my mom.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always get to choose what we want to eat for our birthdays-and all of us usually choose my moms lasanga. This is kind of funny but every thursday night we watch survivor on tv. So for the past 5 or so years, we always make homemade pizza. Another tradition we have recently started is making cinnamon ornaments around thanksgiving time to hang on the tree for Xmas.
My cooking triumphs
Just learning to use a variety of new foods and to not be scared of trying new things. An example is eggplant!
My cooking tragedies
so, so many....

Carrot Cake III
Excellent! I made a few changes- the first is that I used 1tbsp cinnamon, then added 1tsp each giner, all spice, and nutmeg. The second is that I a sprinkled chopped pecans on top of the cake after I frosted it, and I didn't use the cream cheese frosting, I made a classic white frosting.

Cube Steak Parmesan
Good. The only thing I changed was using italian-seasonse bread crumbs instead of crackers

Eggplant Croquettes
What a great new way to use leftover eggplant! They turned out great, and they were so easy to make.
