Baked Ziti with Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
delicious! I did make a few changes; bake in oven at 375 instead of 350 to get center hot, 45 min covered and 15 min. uncovered as it bakes. dice sausage for even distribution, (origianl recipe does not state what size sausage pieces should be.) Also, 2 jars of spaghetti sauce are more appropriate due to the volume of this hearty dish!

Wonderful! We added diced jalepenos for a little kick. Next time I make these, I will cut the sugar down to 1/4 cup. Awesome recipe!

Slow Cooker Tamale Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2010
Simple, yet hearty dish! WOW...I have never made anything like this in the oven or the slow cooker, and my husband and I were very impressed. I have to say I did not expect to the cornbread to expand like it did! I did use the mexican cornbread mix, and that made it even better!!

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2010
Unbelievable! The simplest dish I have ever made, and incredibly, one of the tastiest! Instead of store-bought sauce, I used homemade spaghetti sauce, for our own heartier version. I can see why those that made it for the Super Bowl did, and I can imagine the response!!! One poster mentioned it was too greasy; I did spoon oil off the top before final stir and serving, but it wasn't much. Overall, I would not consider this a greasy dish. I have rated a lot of dishes on this site as five stars, but if I could rate this 7, I would!!!!

LOVED these! I doubled the recipe since I had one lb. of lamb, and one lb. of ground beef. It actually made 12 burgers. Made greek tzatziki sauce to go with it; perfect!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
easy and deeeelicious! I took advice from other posters who cut back on the sauce; I added a few ounces when I put chicken in the crockpot, added a few more half way thru cooking, and then a dash when it was served. I did not think this was too salty; moswtly likely due to less hot sauce. I would cook this for no more than 6 hours; I cooked for 7 and it was a little too long; the meat was too soft. Add more chicken breasts to the crockpot so you have leftovers, you are going to love this dish!

Tomato and Basil Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
Outstanding!!! I have never made a quiche before, and this one turned out wonderfully! I did bake it at 400 degrees instead of 350, to keep with the golden brown consistency to determine when it was ready.

Zucchini and Potato Bake

Deeelicious! You would think a recipe with so few ingredients and only healthy ingredients would only be low cal., and lacking in flavor, but this was great!!! I loved it, and my husband who enjoys hearty side dishes more than I do loved it, too!
