Brick-Oven Pizza (Brooklyn Style)

I've never had Brooklyn style pizza so I can't compare, but it was very good. Used my own sauce recipe and used shredded cheese.

Premium Pizza Crust

Finally a crust that doesn't taste like bread! I did the overnight method, and also needed another cup of flour. Used my Kitchen-Aid with the dough hook and added a little bit of italian seasoning.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

We really like these! Very moist and soft, like a bakery muffin. Sometimes I use mini-chips or sour cream instead of yogurt, it just depends on what I have on hand.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

I doubled this and froze the leftovers. My husband really liked these. A good subsitute for buttermilk pancakes...since I was out of buttermilk.

Antipasto Squares

Served this at our italian wine tasting night and everyone loved it. I followed others advice and patted the ham and peppers with and pre-baked the bottom crust for about 5 minutes. I didn't use any swiss, but I used extra meat and cheese. Really good.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

I made this with a few changes. I got a package of four cheese italian sausages at Walmart clearanced out, so I used that for my sausage. Still removed from the casings and sauted with red onion and green peppers. I left out the oil, I didn't think that I needed it. Instead of tomatoes I used half a jar of sun-dried tomato pesto. Added some parmesan cheese and a little of the starchy pasta water for the sauce. Tossed with the bow-tie pasta and served. Very good.

Tiramisu Cheesecake

I made this but had to use a few subsitutions. I couldn't find ladyfingers or marsacapone cheese. So I used crushed chocolate teddy grahams crackers for the crust and the cheese sub in the reviews, using 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup cream. I did end up using more cream to thin out the batter. Topped with whipped cream and grated chocolate.
