This is my go to recipe for Chinese at home! In fact, it is better than any takeout! I double the sauce and add my favorite vegetables, all of which I cook separately (broccoli, peppers, onion, water chestnuts, mushrooms, etc.). This really is best with raw shrimp. I cook all the vegetables first and remove them, cover to keep warm, and set aside. Then I cook as directed and add the vegetables and sauce when the shrimp is "just done" and cooks as directed until thickened. I serve with rice. So delicious!!
