Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Easy to prepare. Just tasted awful. Too bland.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2002
I have eaten this dish in many Indian Restaraunts. It's one of my favorites. This, however was not good. The chili powder is totally out of place. IF I were to try this again, I would omit it.

Adrienne's Tom Ka Gai

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2003
OUTSTANDING recipe. I had troube with the lemon grass too. Had to pick it out of the soup like bones from fish. The flavor in this is excellent. As compared to our favorite Tai restaraunt, I would say this is dead on! Maybe even better (and this simply isn't possible). Just don't know what the heck to do about this lemongrass issue. Next time, I will cut them in long strips and pull them out to serve like bay leaves.

Catch of the Day

It was good. Not quite enough flavor for me, but good and much healthier than pan frying.

Chinese Peppered Green Beans

This was very good. Aesthitically pleasing, too. I used only regular green beans. :)

Creamy Veggie Fondue

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2004
Great tasting recipe. I did as the others suggested and added the milk near the end. No problems. Like the others, I also had a problem with the sauce burning after it was moved to the fondue pot. I was using sterno. Next time, I will leave it unlit until the cheese starts to thicken too much and then light the sterno. My advice would be to monitor it closely.

I overcooked the sauce (be careful), but this is definitely a winner.

Calamari

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2005
I have made this twice now, and both times it's come out awful. After the first time, I assumed from the reviews it that it had to be my fault, but now I'm not so sure. Both times I made it, it was lacking flavor. Really needed more spice or something. It was like eating a bisquit.

Rice A Roni™ Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2005
I took the advice of others on here and used apples instead of water chesnuts (I don't really like them much either) and I also added curry. It was very good. I would recommend 1 teaspon of curry powder to anyone who's interested in trying it.

Thai Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2005
I usually just use whatever wine I have around the house when I cook. This time, it was a fruity variety - rather than the dry wine the recipe called for. It turned out awesome. The wine gave it a bit of a citrusy taste. Really excellent. Thanks for the recipe!

Pork in Olive Oil Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
This was very good. I probably doubled the garlic and even more of the cilantro. It was great over rice. I may try the sauce for other things. I think it would be good with steamed carrots and things like that. Healthier than butter or margarine, too.

Cara's Creamy Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2006
This turned out very good. Changes I made were: To the mixture: I used an entire head of garlic added some Italian seasoning added some romano cheese (before baking) increased the cream cheese by 50% I drained the beef, which isn't in the recipe. You'd be nuts not to. I think I had to bake a bit more than 15 minutes, but that's typical in my oven.

Crisp Side Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
This is good and thanks for posting the recipe. I was in desperate straits for a side dish and happen to have most of the ingredients here already. I agree with another reviewer - that it needs a little more vinegar. It also took me a while to get the sugar to dissolve.

Spicy Indian Chicken with Green Masala

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
We really liked it. I followed the recipe - only I was in a hurry and only marinated it for an hour. Since it cooks in the marinate, I don't think this made that much of a difference. My finished chicken was a beautiful jalapeno green color. Wonderful taste and not as spicy as I expected it to be.
