Marinated Mushrooms II

I'm not a fan of mushrooms, but i made this for my mother who is and she loved it! I make it at every special occassion with her.

Green Sauce Enchiladas

I made it with mexican rice instead of white, used more green sauce, shredded 3 cheese instead of cubes and added black beans. After all that, it came out pretty good. I would make it again.

Sugar Coated Pecans

My husband and all his friends LOVE these. Especially when they're having a few beers. Like others, I used two egg whites and vanilla in place of the water. I also tripled the cinnamon and used a bit more salt.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

I made this for Christmas dinner and I got mixed reviews. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was much better than the cream of mushroom variety. I took advice from others and sauteed the onons first, but I added chopped canned muchrooms to the pan also. I also used less flour and added the sour cream by taste. I mixed half of the cheese in too. I think next time I will use fresh or frozen green beans. Some really enjoyed it.

I made the light version by using light ranch and low fat cheese. I also cut-down the amount of cheese I used. My husband still loved it! Great recipe!

Beef Tips and Noodles

I added sauteed onions, and used fresh mushrooms. Also, I doubled the recipe. Instead of adding water I used a half cup red wine and a half cup milk. Added about a half cup of sour cream. My only complaint was that it was too salty. Next time I will use less of the onion soup mix.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

The salas was great. The chips are a little to sweet if you put them in a ziplock with the sugar and shake in my opinion. I thought they were much better when I just sprinkled the sugar and cinnamon on top.

It was a bit bland for me and my husband. I also made it in the slow cooker, but I really needed more time because it came out a bit tough. I gave it 6 hours on low. Probably needed a good 8 to 10.

Monkey Bread I

Delicious! Everyone loved it. After reading other reviews I used Grands Buttermilk biscuits, but I think I will use the original next time because of the flavor. I only needed two canisters of the grands also. I poured half the brown sugar mixture over them and covered it and put it in the oven for 15 minutes and then uncovered it and poured the rest over and let it bake another 25 minutes. It came out soft and flavorful.

Red Beans and Rice

Healthy and delicious! I used an extra can of beans and turkey sausage to up the nutrtion. Also added a good amount of creole seasoning, cumin and chili powder to up the flavor. Oh and brown instead of white rice.

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Delicious, but I made some changes. I sauteed half a green bell pepper with the onion and a teaspoon of garlic. Then I mixed in some chopped lean ham. I only used 2 cups of low fat shredded cheese. I topped it off with slices of tomato. Because of all the add ins I cooked it for about 45 minutes and it came out perfect. Will make again.

Glazed Meatloaf II

Best meatloaf I have ever made! Moist and delicious. No leftovers. I followed the tip of placing the bread slices in the bottem of the pan. Worked well.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

So Good! Used the advice from others and added more cumin, cilantro, sherry, garlic and sauteed chopped onions. I also added a third can of beans, but left them whole and used chicken broth instead of veggie. I added chopped chicken and brown rice to make it a whole hearty meal. Would work out great as a dip if most of the broth is left out. Will definately make again.
