Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I used the foil ball idea. Instead of the whole chicken. I used 4 legs and thigh quarters split. I also pulled the skin off so the flavor would take over. oh i added garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, pepper, and seasoning salt. DH was surprised how tender it was. there was only 2 legs that I guess were a little to skinny because they were a little dry.Next time I wont cook for the whole 10 hrs.I am fortunate enough to have 2 crockpots. I cubed about 10 potatoes in my other one, melted a stick of butter, mixed with 1/4 bottle of ranch sauce and a chicken boullon cube. Poured that over the potatoes. OMG so good. It went very well with the chicken. Also made corn on the cob and biscuits. This fed 7 people easily.

Grandpa's Classic Coney Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
I thought I would surprise my hubby with a taste of home. The kids and I loved them. Hubby is from Michigan. He said the real coney dogs arent sweet. So next time I will try to make it without sugar. The good thing about this recipe, is that there will be a next time. Thanks for sharing!!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
Okay, I seen sweet and sour meatballs. It sounded like a great idea. I actually had 2 bottles of sweet and sour sauce. Figured I would make it a really easy meal. I made 2 lbs of meatballs, 2 bottles of sweet sour sauce mixed with 1 bottle of water, stuck in the crock pot for about 6 hours. i had errands to do. When I came home the house smelled so yummy. I put these over fried rice. Every one thought they tasted like salsbury steaks. Imagine that! They were good. Not quite my cup of tea though. Now what to do with the leftovers. Since I had almost a pound of them left, just sitting in the fridge, I put them in the sandwich maker on hot dog buns with shredded cheese inside. Now all together wow... 3 stars for the metballs, even though I didnt use grape jelly, 5 stars for the leftover sandwich filler. MMWWWAAHHH

Sausage Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Wow! This recipe was so yummy.. I ended up making 2 of these. I made one with canned corn and the other with canned peas. I split the 1 roll of sausage that I had between both. I also added a lb of bacon, and split that between both of them. I put one in the freezer for a quick tv dinner. They were both delicious. I did as other reviewers suggested (30 min uncovered and 30 minutes covered). I did broil for 5 minutes afterwards to make the bacon crispy. I let the frozen dinner thaw for about an hour before baking it. I have to say this was a really easy recipe. My DH had no problem cooking the tv dinner, either. Thanks for the recipe.

WOWWW!!! I Have a family 5... So we have to change up to keep every one happy... I doubled the recipe and used 2 pkgs of biscuits that had 10 in a pack.. All 3 children helped, even my son.. Very creative idea.. We all loved it..My husband only had a few to take to lunch the next day... Teach him to work late ( GIGGLE)I served with canned corn and mashed potatoes.. My youngest child put corn on top of these and said they were mini pot pies... If I could give this 6 stars I would.. Thanks so much for sharing... Next time I will try not rolling them, just dropping in, and dipping a space in them... That is definately a time saving technique.
