About this Cook
Hello! We are Kris & Nicole Rutledge. We live in Colorado Springs, Colorado and LOVE to cook. We have 2 pit bull mixes named Bella and Bailey who keep us entertained! We are also surrounded by some of the most amazing friends and family who keep us sane...
My favorite things to cook
Our favorite things to cook are pasta dishes, dips, fusion dishes, Indian curry, Asian food and baked goods (cinnamon rolls, banana bread and pumpkin bread to be exact!)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My parents cooked a lot of Italian and Mediterranean food when I was growing up. They improvised a lot and made cous cous and stir fry all the time! I ate good!
My cooking triumphs
Cheese souffle, sponge cake, Vietnamese spring rolls, chocolate fondu, foccacia...
My cooking tragedies
Kris tried to brine pork chops without measuring the salt and put WAY too much...we stuffed them with ravioli stuffing and could only eat that part. The pork chops were so salty our mouths were burning...squash soup with the consistency of baby food...

Zucchini Corn Fritters
only 4 stars because ther is too much sugar. Fried them in penut oil and they were light and fluffy. also cut the recipe in half to feed 6 people

Ranch Dressing II
This is a very tasty recipe for ranch! I followed it except for substituting the following: Dried chives: chopped fresh green onions Onion Powder: 1 tbs dried onion flakes Up garlic powder from 1/4tsp to 1/2tsp (Left out the parsley) Best after it sits a day. YUM!
