Chef John's Perfect Mashed Potatoes
Thank you Chef John! I got so tired of watery mashed potatoes that I started buying the Bob Evans in the refrigerated area of the grocery. My husband couldn't believe it, I told him I had yet to make any better than Bob. That is until now! I made these last night with some country steak and gravy and they were delicious! I did just as the recipe called except I only had 2% milk so that is what I used. Luckily I already had the right potato masher and not one of those other weird looking objects that Chef John was showing in the video NOT to use! Thanks again, I'm planning on making your mushroom gravy this evening to have with some more mashed potatoes and meatloaf! We can't wait!

Bacon Wrapped Bratwurst
Wow... what can I say? This is just about as good as it gets. Pork on pork, pure perfection. I did them exactly as the recipe calls with the exception of skewering them like kabobs on bamboo skewers. We have bratwurst in the freezer and I said something about this recipe since it was the one we used the last time we had bratwurst. My husband said "that was the best thing I've had in a long time". He likes to eat and will say something is good, but he rarely makes those type of statements. The sweetness of the brown sugar and the spicy cayenne with the salty bacon. Wow, that just about sums it up. I used Wright's Applewood Bacon, very thick, may have been the final touch to this outstanding dish! You have to try it!

Sweet Mustard Chops
I, like others, almost always go with recipes that have the most reviews, but I thought I would give this one a shot. I also don't usually review myself but wanted to for this dish and another we recently had. We had these last night and they were really good. I didn't marinade them for very long because I found the recipe at the last minute and time didn't permit. My husband and I both really liked these pork chops. This may sound silly, but it was too hot out to grill them outside, so I did them on my Cuisinart Griddler and that worked out just fine. Give them a try, it's just a matter of time before there are many more reviews!!
