Blueberry-Lemon Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
In defense of the cake, I did not have lemon zest so I bumped up the lemon juice (not extract) by a teaspoon. I did coat the blueberries also-great tip. I still felt like this was a pretty bland cake. Pretty and moist but no zip. I did nake a lemon glaze to go over it. Glaze - 1/3 cup melted butter, add 4 tbsp lemon juice and 2 cups powdered sugar stir and pour over cake. Good but probably not going to make again.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
I made this with lime juice instead of lemon since that is all I had on hand. It was fabulous! I also left out the celery salt since I did not have any on hand. Fantastic, quick recipe for a weeknight! My children loved it!

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
I loved this as is! I made this in two smaller loaf pans. It did take a little longer to bake-I just kept and eye on it. I did add 3 tbs of ground flax & a carton of large blueberries to it. They were excellent. Do grease and FLOUR you pans. Mine tried to stick even though i greased them. Next time I will flour as well. Enjoy!

Seven Layer Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
Love this recipe! I take these to all of my casual get-togethers. I do use milk choc chips instead of semi sweet - just preference. If I want something sweet I go for it! Bravo to this classic bar.

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
My family loved this recipe! I did not have applesauce so I substituted with apple butter. It turned out fabulous! I will make it this way again. It made a really great sauce in the bottom of the bag to pour over the slices. Be careful in openingthe bag so you don't pour the sauce all over the pan. This way it makes an easy clean up as well! Enjoy!

White Chocolate Gorp

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
This made great neighborhood gifts for the holidays! I did go with the white Chocolate bark. I could not get the white choc chips to melt - they just got chunky. The bark melted beautifully! I was only able to find the white bark. Hope this helps!

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
Fantastic! Easy to make! I toasted my pecans with a little butter 325 for 15 min first. I then followed the directions. I added a milk chocolate drizzle over the top after they had been in the fridge for an hour or so. I did this by melting milk choc chips in the microwave then placing the liquid with a tsp of vegetable oil in a ziploc bag. I then cut the corner ( very small cut) to drizzle over the turtles. It turned out so pretty. I refrigerated until all was set up them bagged for friends!

Gorgonzola and Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2007
I followed others' advice and sauteed the chops in olive oil and garlic. I added 2 tblsp of brown sugar to the butter/apple mixture. It turned out good. You definitely need to sprinkle black pepper over the pork before putting the apple/ butter mix over the top. I did not stuff it. I also left out the cheese all together since so many others had mixed reviews. I would make this again but I would add another apple and buy thicker pork chops.
