Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
My husband and I love our local philly cheesesteak place but I figured I'd give it a try myself. This tastes as good as that place, and now I can make it with hormone-free meat. I didn't use the oregano and instead sprinkled a little KC Masterpiece dry rub on it while cooking the meat. I also made it without cheese and it was wonderful. We are thrilled. Good work, Tera, I'm telling everyone about this!

Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
wonderful! i substituted the half and half for 3:1 rice milk: heavy cream. the rice milk may have given it a sweeter taste, but it was delicious! the celery adds a nice touch. i also added garlic. i made supper for my community group and everyone wanted this recipe.

Adrienne's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
i made this initially with just one cucumber to see if we liked it. we'll be making this again, with a little less dill.

Three Berry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2008
if you like these berries it's a great pie. i'll use this as a base for a plain strawberry pie, but very helpful with the cornstarch tip. thanks everyone.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
the chicken was so tender and tastey even my husband (who ins't a big fan of chicken) loved it. i'll use less Italian dressing next time and a little more liquid smoke (i used 1 T) next time, but there will certainly be a next time.

Mock Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
my husband love chicken fried steak, but i never order it because they always use the worst cut of beef. using ground beef, however, seemed better because it's more like a hamburger. i tried it out last night with mashed potatoes and gravy and we will definitely be having it again. thanks for the creative recipe. other than using dried parsley instead of fresh (it's what i had on hand)i didn't change a thing.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
these are great -- soft and tasty. i let the dough rise once before shaping into balls and rising again. also, i halved it and made 4 burger buns and 2 hot dog buns. they were delicious. i will use this recipe for philly sandwiches and chili dogs.

Funky Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
i put chips on the bottom as suggested and next time would probably layer them throughout because this is just like nachos. delicious. instead of a taco seasoning packet i used cumin, paprika, chili powder and garlic salt. i'll add more cayenne next time. this is easy and yummy.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
the meat was delicious, juicy and flavorful. i put a couple pats of butter under the skin as people said, and it was great. easy to prepare the night before. i had a 4.5 lb chicken and cooking it about 3 1/2 hours was perfect.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
this is a great recipe without the processed cheese. with a food processor the slicing of potatoes goes quickly and makes this an easy recipe. i dice the onions and add garlic, then i saute those before adding to potatoes. add some red pepper flakes for a kick. very easy and delicious.

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
tried it twice, the bagels didn't make it through the boiling -- they flattened out and never bounced back. after baking they were too dense and dry. seems like everyone else had success but i'm ready to try a different recipe.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
i made this for a friend's birthday. i've never had bread pudding before, but she said it was great. for not having any comparisons, i thought it was wonderful. i did take the suggestion and made it with 3 eggs instead of 4. i think 4 would make it too eggy. delicious recipe, can't wait to make it again!

best bread recipe for anything. i change the seasonings depending on what i'm serving it with and it always tastes good. i've been searching for a good foccacia recipe but this has replaced that desire. thanks jo!

a good bread but not really sufficient as a bread bowl. i won't make it again as it didn't hold enough soup.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
this is a great crust. i brush olive oil and garlic salt over the crust before and halfway through baking. also, the crust tends to puff up a lot so i try to only leave a little dough uncovered. thanks for the tasty, timely and user-friendly recipe.

this is delicious! a tasty and easy fish recipe. i didn't have chipotle chili spice so i used chili powder. i also eliminated the salt and it wasn't missed. i'll make this again.

Spicy Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
it took a while for the rice to cook, but when it was finished it was delicious. i followed the suggestion to substitute black beans for pinto and to add cumin. i also eliminated the lentils and pimientos since i didn't have them on hand. thanks for a good rice recipe, better than most mexican restaurants!
