I made this last night, followed the directions exactly and it was delicious. I will NEVER use the box/bag cornbread again. I had all the ingredients on hand. perfect!

New Year's Champagne Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
it was easy to make, I took other's suggestions, but I was the ONLY one who would drink it. no one at my party cared for it at all. :(

Orange Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
this was just okay, I didn't have enough glaze and had to add more orange juice, then it was too orangy. I could have done something wrong...not sure if I'll attempt this one again.

Jimmy Dean Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
this was not a hit at my house. It's Chritmas morning, and I think I should have made eggs and sausage seperately. Too much bread, had to cook an extra half an hour and it's still soggy inside...the kids sort of like it, my husband and I choked it down since we waited so long to eat. Next time...if I ever make it again I will use hash browns, or tater tots instead of the bread, I would also add more cheese and less milk (although I did already cut it down by half a cup). recipe isn't "terrible" but definately needs a little help.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
This was so awesome for Thankgiving! I had 32 people to dinner and wasn't looking forward to peeling and mashing 10lbs of potatoes along with everything else I had to prepare, so this was a life saver! I put it in the crock pot and stuck it in the fridge over night and in the morning when I started my turkey I look these out and started the crock pot, by the time dinner was ready to potatoes were heavenly, a lot of prep but a definate keeper for the holidays! Everyone love them!

Broccoli Cheese Soup III

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
Um..I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I thought this was just okay, I added a least another cup of cheese and had to add instant potatoes just to thicken it up enough to eat, I used frozen broccoli but not enought, so I know that was definately a problem - If you do use frozen before you thaw it measure at least 8 cups, that will get you more where you want. I'm not sure if I'll make it again, like I said maybe I did something wrong??

Sandy's Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
IF you like tuna cassarole then you will LOVE this, as this is what it is, tuna cassarole made with chicken. I was really excited to try it after the reveiws, and others are right it is simple and quick, just not quite what I was looking for, although I will make it again - this time with TUNA - it's cheaper! :)

Chicken With Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
This was so awesome! I loved every bite, but I did take others advice, I sauted my mushrooms in olive oil and garlic, I used parmasean bread crumbs, I didn't add the cheese until about 10 minutes before it was done, and I added a can of cream of mushroom, if you don't there won't be any gravy left! but it's worth the prep!! MMMM! This is awesome over pasta or rice!

Baked Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
good recipe, I've made it twice already and my husband says it's so-so. I still like green bean cassarole better for the holidays. I didn't cut back anything, or use low fat sour cream but I'm sure you could and it wouldn't make much difference.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2002
I used a 3lb roast, cream of mushroom, 3/4 can of water and didn't have soup mix, so I substituted the seasonings from shillings pork chop cook in a bag packet. The seasons worked great! I added carrots in the last 2 hours. I cooked on high heat for 4 hours then med heat for add'l 3, This was AWESOME!!! we had company for dinner and they loved it. I made baked potatoes because there wasn't enough room in the slow cooker for them, and after taking the meat out (which fell apart) and taking the carrots out I added a cornstarch/water mixture to thicken the gravy, it was delicious over the baked potatoes, carrots and meat! everyone raved! Don't be scared to use something other than onion soup mix. I hate onions so the packet seasoning worked great for me! Try this!!! Will make again and again! Thanks!

Banana Bread - Quick Bread for Machines

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2002
I tried this yesterday and it turned out great! The next time I make I will add vanilla and walnuts, it was a little bland..I think I needed another banana (mine were pretty small) and I did like another reviewer and put them in a plastic bag first and squished it up first, this worked well..this recipe only took about 5 minutes to throw together and was by far the easiest way to make banana bread! Thanks Dee!

This was the exact recipe I was looking for tonight, I added a can of mushrooms and extra spices plus a little milk (I used 1 1/2 lbs of burger)I only had macaroni noodles and it worked just fine. My kids (ages 3 and 6) are eating it as I type this. It is very good! I will make it again, it was super fast! Thank you! Jessica

Bella's Rosemary Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2002
This recipe is great! The spices are good. I melted the butter and oil and instead of pouring it in the plate I put the pototoe's in the pan to cover them. then after they were all covered I poured the remainder of the oil/butter over them. If you cut your pototoe's fairly small they should cook in 30-40 minutes (I don't know why they would ever take 90 minutes!!!)My kids loved them and they were great the next day! enjoy!

Easier Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2002
I tried this last night after reading all the wonderful reviews. I doubled the Marsala (which I didn't need to) and because of that the chicken was kind of soggy. My kids didn't appreciate the taste and wouldn't eat it. But my husband and I liked it okay. I don't think I will make it again though. Maybe it was the wine? I used Sweet Marsala instead of Dry because the recipe didn't specify but I think I should've used the dry.
