Hot Pepper Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2000
I've made this recipe quite a few times, and I've started adding about 3/4 of a can of chopped green chilis to the recipe. It adds a little bit of color and texture, and a little more 'kick' to the cheeseball!

Kitty Litter Cake

We made this cake for my son's Cub Scout Cake Contest and he won Most Original. Everyone thought it was funny. It really didn't taste too bad either!

White Chili I

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
I am on the Abs Diet for Women and this recipe has three powerfoods - olive oil, beans, and lean meats. This was fantastic too! Quick to make and delicious! I left off the cheese to cut calories and fat but it was still great!

Excellent! Moist, just the right sweetness. My 10 month old devoured it! Used milk/vinegar substitution for buttermilk.

Yummy! So easy and so delicious! I made exactly as written, and my rice didn't puff until it was cooked. Served with Salsa Chicken.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
This is restaurant quality soup. After boiling the chicken I put everything (except sour cream) in the crockpot and cooked for 5 hrs. Excellent! I halved the recipe but it still makes a lot so I will be freezing individual portions.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
We loved this! I made 8 thin cut chops, thinking we'd have leftovers...but we ate them all! My 8 year old son, a very picky eater, devoured them. Even my husband loved them and asked me to make them again. Next time I think I'll cut back or even omit the oil and see how that works.

Substituted asiago cheese since I was out of Parmesan and used cutlets instead of chops...DELICIOUS! Easy, quick, and tasty!

Ranch Dressing and Dip Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
I'm occasionally finding a recipe that calls for dry ranch mix and I never have any on hand, like for the Vegetarian Chili recipe I made tonight. Found this recipe and it was perfect. Made up a batch and will keep in my pantry for next time I make the chili.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
I always keep a batch of this made up and in my pantry. Its easily made with spices I have on hand and its much better than store bought. I use it for Mexican Chicken, tacos, Vegetarian chili, etc...any recipe that calls for taco seasoning!

This was delicious. I added some garlic powder and onion powder and omitted the green onions. Baked at 400 for 10 mins and then added the topping and broiled for 5.

My husband said this was delicious and said to make it again. He rarely makes comments on recipes so I guess this means this one is a winner!

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
I skipped the step to saute the chicken, instead I put everything in the crock pot with a raw chicken breast and cooked on low about 6 hrs. Took the chicken out and shredded it and then put it back in the soup. Easy and delicious!

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2011
Delicious. Followed the instructions as written with one exception - I don't like Cool Whip frosting, so I took another reviewer's suggestion and mixed 1/2 can of whipped white frosting with the cool whip. That gave it the right amount of sweetness for me. I used a fork to poke the holes and waited an hour and all the liquid was absorbed. Used Wilton Cake Release on the pans before baking and the cake popped right out after the hour.

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
After reading reviews, and realizing I was short on some ingredients I slightly modified this recipe. I used a mix of spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, and tomato juice to reach 29 oz after I realized I was short of tomato sauce. I also added an egg to the cheese mixture and used a little bit more cottage cheese (to just finish up the container). Used farfalle pasta in place of lasagna noodles b/c I didn't feel like fitting rectangle pasta in a round bowl. I have to admit I was skeptical and thought we might be eating crunchy or mushy noodles. But everything was cooked perfectly! Delicious!!

Cherry Crisp

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
Excellent and easy to make! Really good when warm. I omitted the nutmeg b/c I don't like it but it was still fantastic. I have been crazy cherry pie and this was better than the pie slices I have been getting at a local restaurant.

Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
These are my husband's new favorite roll. I make them for him at least once a week. These are so easy to make - I dump everything in the bread machine right before I go pick the kids up at the bus stop! I use All Purpose flour b/c that is what I keep on hand. I also dont use the milk powder - I just substitute the warm water with 1/2 milk and 1/2 water. I also skip the egg white/water wash at the end and they still brown nicely.
