Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
Super yummy! Made for Valentine's Day dinner and we all loved it. Only wish I would have been able to let the steak marinate longer, only able to do 3 hours. Next time I'll try overnight for more intense flavor. The flavors are excellent. Thank you!

Holiday Pumpkin Cake with Rum-Cream Cheese Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
Yummy! This review is only for the glaze. Next time I'll try the cake too. I added the glaze to a spice cake, and everyone devoured it. Only change was rum to vanilla. Thanks for a super great tasting recipe!

Banh-Mi Style Vietnamese Baguette

Wonderful! Only change was that I used chicken instead of mushrooms (don't like). Terrific meal, so flavorful. Lots of chopping and prep work, but well worth it. Thanks for sharing!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
OMG!!! This frosting is to die for! Made it last night to cover a red velvet cake and it was incredible. So simple and quick to make. I halved the receipe to frost a 9x13 pan and it was the perfect amount. No changes at all. My husband wanted to me to whip up a second batch so he could eat it right then! The texture is perfect, it wasn't runny at all, I did pop it in the fridge while my cake cooled. Will make this on everything from now on. Thank you for sharing!

Dead Man's Cheese Ball

This was a big hit at a party. I couldn't get the black sesame seeds to cover the whole ball. But be warned, it makes alot! Next time I will make 3 or 4 smaller balls. Very strong taste, delicious!

Sweet and Salty Caramel Apples

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
These were great. I made them for a Halloween party and used a melon baller/ice cream scoop to make smaller apples. Only problem was that caramel slid off and pooled around the bottom. Followed directions completely. They looked ugly but tasted great!

Warm Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic and Bacon

I was so excited to try this dip, but it was so bad we couldn't eat it. We love all of the ingredients so we were sure it would be a winner. WAAAAAY to salty,. even used lower sodium bacon (and I love salt). Just not edible. Sorry...

Joy's Prizewinning Trifle

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Delicious! I made this for Easter in the morning and let it sit until dinner, and everyone loved it. I used only strawberries for fruit, cubed the angel food cake and added a little less then a cup of milk to the dry vanilla pudding mix. Beautiful presentation. I made my own real whipped cream, can't stand the taste of Cool Whip. This dessert was not to sweet, just perfect. Was eaten in no time at all, too bad no leftovers. This has already been requested for the next family gathering. YUMMY! Thank you for sharing.

Peanut Butter Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
These are too cute! So easy to make, and pretty quick if you make them small. I did reduce sugar by 1/2 cup, added 1 tsp milk and 1/2 cup Jiff pb. JUst like the consistency better. Did use 1/2 Bakers semi-sweet squares and 1/2 Nestle chocolate chips. It made around 30 small eggs. They look beautiful, and my husband can't stop eating them! Thank you!

Mad Hatter Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
This was awesome! Really delicious! I added some precooked chicken into the ramen/nut mix and like other reviews I added only half of one seasoning packet to this mixture, so there was 1 1/2 package in the dressing. Also used on 1/3 cup sugar. Thank you, can't wait to make this again!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
Don't know what happened! Read the reviews and this recipe sure sounded like a winner, but it didn't come through for me. I took other reviewers advice wwith changes, but it work. They never got hard! I prepared these the day before a birthday party, knowing I wouldneed time for them to harden, but they never did. Stuck them in the fridge, then freezer, still no luck. Icing was gooey and messy. I tried to make a pink icing but it was clear with only hint of pink. In the bowl it was the color I wanted, but didn't end up that way. Very disappointed, sorry.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
So good! First time making sugar cookies, so glad I did. I did double the vanilla, refrigerated overnight, and got to work the next morning. It made a zillion cookies, good thing! I baked mine for 7 minutes, and they were perfect. So soft and just the right amount of sugar. I actually iced half of them and deceided they tasted better plain. They are still soft and tasty after 5 days. Thanks so much for a great recipe!

Party Punch IX

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
Loved it! while I was preparing the jello mixture ( it makes alot!) I was kinda worried about what I just got myself into. But luckily I conitued and froze the mixture in gallon size bags (I think it made 4 or 5 bags), froze them flat in the freezer a couple of days ahead of time. Day of the party I took them out to thaw about 2 hours prior and they were easily broken up. Everyone who saw the mixture before hand thought it was a little weird. Once it was all prepared, everyone loved it! So many compliments. Just a few drops were left. I used 2 rasberry's and 1 orange jello. Thanks for a great recipe. I will use this punch recipe from now on.
