i was looking for a recipe for my daughter's bday cake. she requested a barbie cake. i wanted to do something diff...not the usually choc cake nor plain vanilla. then i found this. this is perfect since i hv to make the princess's skirt in layers. the contrast of colours- green, yellow, orange were great. n the taste- delish.... hv been making this again n again for guests who don't really like choc.

Williamsburg Orange Cake

a great recipe. luv it. super easy too. at first i was taken a back by the method of this cake, but then, the result- yummy. the only thing that i'll change next time, is the sugar amount. too sweet for my taste.

Country Cinnamon Swirl Bread

my hubby and kids love this so much. they finished it up before it had chance to cool down. however, my 'sugar-cinnamon swirl lines' are not as definitive as in the picture. may be because i lessen the sugar (new year resolution-healthier food..hahahah). will be making this again tomorrow as it is so easy. note to self- reduce sugar in the batter to 3/4cup (or lesser), do not lessen the quantity of the 'cinnamon-sugar' mixed to get a nice line.

While it is still hot...it does taste like brownies...YUMMY.... I would have rated it 5star, but then my husband wanted a more crispy cookies...so, ....
