Traditional Christmas Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2013
I made this for my family last year at Christmas time. The first comment out of my daughter's mouth was, "make this again next year". There wasn't a bit of leftovers. Delicious and easy to make.

Authentic Mexican Breakfast Tacos

Reviewed: May 5, 2013
My family loved this recipe and it truely is authentic. The flavor and heat are just right for us. This is in response for the reviewer that says Mexican families wouldn't use bottled hot sauce on their breakfast tacos. Living here in southern California, I have many hispanic neighbors and friends. They all use bottled hot sauce on their meals LOL.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2012
Oh my goodness...these were awesome. Crunchy on the outside and moist inside. Just the way peanut butter cookies should be. There was no reason to add any other ingredients to the recipe. The only thing I did differently was to chill the dough for about 20 minutes and roll it into balls. I then pressed a flourered potato masher into the top for a nice pattern. Baked for the recommended time. Pretty and delicious. Thank you so much Clarice for this wonderful recipe. I will definately be using it again.

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2012
Most key lime pie recipes have an egg base, I was pleased that this one didn't. There is just a hint of tartness, perfect for my taste. So easy to make that I made two and froze one for later. Don't hesitate to try this recipe as it is delicious. Thanks for offering this quick and easy recipe.

No-Cream Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2012
Fresh, healthy and easy to make. My family and I are trying to cut back on fats and this recipe was perfect. I loved it as it, but you could easily change the veggies for a different taste. Thank you for offering this healthy alternative.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
I followed this recipe as stated with one exception and that was to add the salt at the end of the cooking process. That way you can use the amount of salt that suits your taste. Mine was less. Also I want to note that my beans only took 6 hours on high to soften. If you should need to add extra water, be sure to add hot as cold will sometimes turn the beans dark. The next time I will cook them without the garlic, just personal preference.

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2011
I have been making this recipe for years. A friend shared it with me. I use the cooked chicken from the grocery. Fast and easy. Everything else stayed the same. Great for potlucks.

Classic Goulash

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
The whole family loved it, even my picky husband. Very economical and easy to make. The best part was that I had all the ingredients right in my cupboard. This reminds me of a dish that my Mom used to make.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
This recipe was easy and delicious. As to the reader who commented on the cooking time being incorrect...my boneless chicken breasts were quite thick and took way over 20 minutes to cook through. Thanks for this wonderful recipe, my family loved it.

Detroit Hot Honey Wings

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
I made these today, along with two other types of wings (BBQ and Teriyaki) for a pre 4Th of July cookout. The Hot Honey Wings were by far the favorite of everyone. Many people asked for the recipe. Follow the recipe exactly and you won't be disappointed.

Cajun Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
This chicken had a good flavor, but way too salty. I will try again and use less cajun seasoning next time. That should do the trick.

Garlic Chicken Fried Brown Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
This recipe was easy and delicious. I especially liked that brown rice was used instead of white. So much healthier. My husband commented how much he enjoyed it several times during the meal. By the way, for the other reviewer that was concerned about the plate presentation, we are rating the taste of the food, not what it is served on.

Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
Holy cow....what a pie. Delicious flavor and perfect texture. Follow the recipe as written and you will not be disappointed. Not overly sweet like some blueberry recipes. Just right for our taste buds. Thanks so much for offering this recipe.

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2010
Very good recipe. Our family likes things a little spicy so the Tabasco was just right. The trick to any good chicken fried steak (or anything fried) is the oil temperature. Too hot and it will burn. If not hot enough, whatever you are frying will turn out greasy and uncrisp. Perhaps this is what some of the reviewers were experiencing.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
There is a BIG problem with these brownies... I can't stop eating them! I made two batches, one with nuts (for hubby) and another without for the rest of us. Both batches turned out perfectly. Most brownies are either too dense and heavy or just the opposite, too dry. These are just what a brownie should be. I like the fact that even after slicing them into squares, they remained very moist and tender and never dryed out. Be sure to mix by hand, just until the dry ingredients are combined. Thanks Angie for sharing this wonderful recipe.

Zippy Summer Shrimp

Wonderful healthy and delicious. I served mine over a wild rice mixture and doubled the sauce. Hubby was sopping up the drippings with french bread. Grandkids even enjoyed it. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.

Creamed Eggs on Toast

This brought back so many memories. My mom made this for us when we were kids. She sometimes added fresh spinach to hers. I just loved it. Thanks so much for sharing.

Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
These are my granddaughter's favorite after school snack. They are requested so often that I make several batches, cook ahead of time and freeze them. We love them just as they are, but if you prefer a spicier burger, just add your favorite seasonings. Thank you Jen for this delicious, healthy recipe.

Vegetarian Chickpea Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
WOW is the only word that describes this sandwich. This was delicious. It was so good that I was eating it straight out of the bowl. I served this filling on a toasted whole wheat pita with lettuce and tomato. To keep the chick peas moist, just add a few TB of the liquid in the can along with your mayonnaise. Mine was very moist by doing this. Thank you for offering this healthy alternative.

Spinach and Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
This was a great start for a recipe, but I definitely felt something was missing. I just can't figure out what it was. Maybe next time I will add some chicken like some of the other reviewers suggested. This dish had a beautiful presentation, but lacked flavor.
