Bahamian Mahi Mahi

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
I have this same exact recipe but not sure where I got it. Mine is slightly different with measurements and we loved it. Maybe next time you decide to make it use my changes instead. I used 2 large mahi mahi steaks, 1/4 cup of dark rum and 1/4 cup of fresh squeezed lime juice and no lemon slices.

Spicy Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2007
Super delicious burgers. I didn't have a habanero but added more jalapeno, poblano and pepper flakes. I topped the burgers with white cheddar and served them on grilled pepperoni & cheese focaccia bread with chipotle mayo. EXCELLENT and juicy!!

Potato-Topped Chili Loaf

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
Delicious!! Only thing I would do different next time (and there will be many next times) is to add more seasoning to the meatloaf. Otherwise, this was a huge hit. Wonderful meal by itself.

Pesto Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
This was fantastic and restaurant quality. I used fresh seeded and diced tomatoes since I had a garden abundance. I also used fresh made pesto from the basil in my garden. That really makes a difference in the quality of a dish. DH and I each added garlic salt to our dishes for added flavor. This is a keeper and one we will make often. Thanks for sharing.

Zucchini Puffs

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
Anna, thanks for such an excellent recipe. Mom made these for us when we were little and she never really had a recipe to follow. I tried yours and it is perfect. We also add fresh grated parmesan cheese to the tops. I recommend this recipe.

Texas Brownies II

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
We LOVE this recipe and no matter what you call it (texas sheet cake brownies, texas brownies or buttermilk brownies) it is all good. For the frosting, I also used buttermilk in place of the milk, which adds extra richness and a nice tangy chocolate flavor. Thank you for your recipe.

That Good Salad

One of our most favorite salads ~ I actually got this recipe from a local Amish lady. She said she makes this for all their large community functions and it is a hit and always requested.

Creamy Potato Pork Chop Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
This was not what I had expected. Was not fond of the pork chops texture/flavor and think maybe chicken would have been a better choice but that was just my personal preference. Potatoes were very bland and needed some ooomph! Husband liked it and said he would eat it again if I made it but I doubt I would, at least not with the pork chops.

Texas Stuffed Grilled Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
This recipe originally was to serve 10 people so I changed the conversions to serve 4. This is an excellent stuffed burger recipe. I could not find hickory seasoning and not even sure what it was. I used a Gourmet Burger seasoning blend in place of it that is made by Weber Grills that was really good. I also added a 1/2 jalapeno, minced to the filling ingredients.

Better Than Sex Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
This is a fantastic cake that is very moist and rich....however, I think the current picture is not right as that one is showing a yellow cake. This recipe calls for a German chocolate cake mix.

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
I was beginning to give up all hope on this recipe because it was so soupy after cooking for 8 hours, so I made some Basmati rice (lighter and fluffier than regular rice) and added about 2 to 2-1/2 cups to it and it turned out perfect. Although the spice was nice, I also felt it needed a little bit more of something so added some granulated garlic and dried cilantro. I would definitely make this again and probably add some diced ham as authentic jambalaya generally has that added to it, thank you for sharing.

Awesome Ham Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
This is AWESOME just like the recipe says. I had just a few changes to this salad....I added a handful of frozen peas and some fresh broccoli to the list of ingredients and cut back on the sweet pickles. It came out perfect. Thanks for sharing your great salad.

Cheesy Onion Focaccia

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
Fantastic recipe.......I love all kinds of focaccia and this one is tops. I also made mine by hand and it turned out perfect. I didn't have parmesan cheese so I used Asiago and boy was that a good choice. This is a keeper ~ thanks for sharing a great recipe.

Turkey Stuffing Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2007
This is a great family weekday meal that can be made in advance and tossed in the oven the next day. Like one member said, I just skip the soup and use jarred turkey gravy. Serve these over a bed of mashed potatoes and you have a great meal.

What a great way to serve fish. I used haddock instead of tilapia and it worked out perfectly. Thanks for sharing your recipe....I would definitely make this again.
