Juicy Roasted Chicken

WOW!!! Second time in 2 weeks I've fixed this. So moist and juicy! I've always over or under cooked chickens. Not with this one! Bought a 5# chicken and it took about 2 1/2 hours. I just used my meat thermom. until it reached 185 degrees, took it out covered it while the rice was cooking and "presto" a great supper!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Fantastic! I used shell macaroni...should have used elbow. And I did use half of the sugar as suggested and used 5 hard boiled eggs. Best home made mac salad we've ever had!

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

This is way too easy! I used 3 very large chicken breast for 2 of us and we had enough for one left over! It's one of the best AND easiest slow cooker recipes I've used!

Emma's Belgian Waffles

Does take a little time but waffles are really good...cripsy on the outside, fluffy on inside! The reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the time needed to make them! Made about 16 4x5" Belgian waffles. Followed recipe exactly. Put thawed strawberries, blueberries,and blackberries on top. Froze waffles that were left over. Will reheat them on oven rack @ 325 degrees for 5 mins or less...hope they will still be good!

Aaahh! Potato Soup

Sooo good! Used Idaho baking potatos. Used 3 cups water instead of 1 1/2. Finely cut 1/4 cup onion and cooked with soup. Added garlic salt to taste along with salt and pepper while cooking. Topped with bacon, scallion tops (lots of this) and grated cheese. Otherwise followed original recipe, stirring frequently. Fast, easy, and really good on cold winter night!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Oh my gosh...so, so easy and really, really good. I followed the recipe but made a few changes. I used stew meat that was cut in thin strips (found it at the grocery store and thought it would be perfect...and it was!) and browned it before I put it in the crock pot. I doubled everything EXCEPT the meat. Served over noodles with fresh corn on the cobb, seasoned green beans and Cherry Pie III from all recipes! Really simple dinner and Ohhhhhh, sooooo good!

Cherry Pie III

Very easy and delicious cherry pie! I used 3 cans of tart cherries instead of 2. I also used Pillsbury roll and fill pie crust along with 1/2 teaspoon of almond instead of 1/4. Brushed the top crust (when done) with butter and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Top with Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream. A little expensive because of the cost of the canned cherries, but worth it!!!

Apple Pie I

I followed the recipe exactly. It was wonderful. I don't know why some people are adding flour. I used Granny Smith apples (3 LARGE made 6 cups). Perhaps other apples are a bit more juicy. The only change I'll make next time is perhaps 1 more apple. (my family said it was just fine like it was!) And like another review, I used Pillsbury Pie Crust (two in a box) and it was great! This was my first apple pie and I really impressed myself!
