Very simple and delicious appetizer! Personally, I thought it sounded like entirely too much meat, but it's really not at all. The flavors blend together so well. I threw the smokies in a ziplock back with a bunch of brown sugar, then also sprinkled some on top as the recipe suggests. Placed in a slow cooker & forgot to add the maple syrup as another reviewer suggested, and still were very moist. They were the first thing gone at my daughter's first birthday. OH - and MAKE SURE you use a layer or two of aluminum foil on your pan - MUCH easier cleanup.
