Jimmy Dean Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
A big hit at our beach breakfast! I did have to cook it for an additional 30 minutes for the eggs to set in the middle. I used mushrooms, red pepper and green pepper for the 'optional' veggies and sauteed some chopped onion with the sausage. Will definitely make again!

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
Great recipe, very rich and tasty, while easy to make. I put everything in the crockpot for 4 hrs on high. After reading other reviews, I also doubled the sauce, except for the Italian salad dressing mix. The golden mushroom soup and wine is a delicious combination.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
This lasagna is excellent! 4 star rating though due to a few small changes. I added less salt and sugar, increased the garlic and mozzarella cheese. It's the first time I made lasagna that didn't fall apart. Great idea to soak noodles in hot water for 30 min, rather than boil. Out of curiosity, anyone heard of 6.5 oz cans of tomato sauce? Delicious! Great recipe, John.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
This was good. I gave it ony 3 stars due to a few changes I would make to the recipe, as per other reviews. Also I'm still on the hunt for the 'right' recipe. Excellent flavor and spices. My husband and I both thought it was too watery so I would probably add some black beans, omit the water and substitue another can of chicken broth. Tastes great when garnished with a dollop of sour cream, generous amount of shredded cheese and some crushed tortilla chips.

Ham and Potatoes Au Gratin

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
This one is a keeper! My husband and fussy toddler loved it. Excellent comfort food for the winter season. Potatoes took an extra half hour or so to cook. I also used half a sliced onion and a little extra cheese. Excellent recipe!
