Canadian Barn BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
Great BBQ sauce!!! I am from Montreal, and love the Barn, and this is probably as close as you'll get to replicating the same taste. Although I did find there to be WAY too much sugar, I cut mine down to a scant 2/3 cup brown sugar, and next time I might try less.

Calico Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
This recipe was ok, I found there to be too much water chestnuts and not enough squash and zucchini. Next time I would try it with half the amount of water chestnust and an extra cup each of squash and zucchini, and cut the mayo in half.

Barbeque Halibut Steaks

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
I loved this one...although I did substitute the brown sugar for pure maple syrup (which I always do) and I grilled it on the BBQ on a bed of lemons cut about 1/4 inch. Great recpe. Thanks!

Beef Marinade II

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2007
This marinade was spectacular!!!! Although, I can't bring myself to marnade my steak for only one hour, so I left out the lemon slices to cut down on acidity, and marinaded the meat for 24 hours. The wine flovour really came through.

I love smoked salmon, so this was right up my alley. I doubled the smoked salmon and added capers and a dash of tobasco....I would definetly make this one again.

These were pretty good, I doubled, or even tripled the zest for extra tartness.

Asian Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
This rice was amazing, a great way to jazz up a boring side. I took the creamy oil from the top of the coconut milk and flash fried some scallops in it along with some chopped cilantro stems. The toasted coconut and frest cilantro is a MUST! Also, I don't know what jasmin rice you all use, but mine takes an hour to cook
