Mexican Tinga

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
Yummmmmy! I only put in 4 of the adobo chilies to control the heat. I pureed them with the tomatoes and sauteed onions. I also added a clove of garlic. Then threw this into the crock pot with the chicken and one can of chicken broth for about 6 hours. The chicken literally fell apart and it had an incredibly wonderful flavor!!! I served on the tostada shell with lettuce and a southwestern (corn, tomato and black bean) salsa. Thanks for this recipe!!!

Vanilla Glaze

The recipe as is cannot be right. You absolutely have to increase the butter and milk - otherwise you just have some hardly moist powdered sugar. I did not have milk on hand but did have whipping cream. The flavor was truly fabulous. But, the author must have meant Tablespoons where teaspoons are listed for wet ingredients.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Wow!!! The variations that we love the best are using pumpkin instead of sour cream and adding white chocolate chips, or, using dried cherries or dried blueberries with white chocolate chips. These are awesome!!

Wow! My family loves this recipe. I have made it several times. Just as good as the version made at the Outback restaurant. Thanks for the recipe!

Very nice. I'm making this again for dinner tomorrow. I put at least twice the amount of carrots called for. A good comfort food. Thanks for the recipe!

Easy Pasta Fagioli

This was just okay. It was too much like tomato soup. I added another can of chicken broth and more spices and it was pretty good. Thanks anyway!

Kentucky Hot Brown

Wow. If I could give this 20 stars I would! I had tons of leftover lunch meat from our Halloween party. I used up all of the turkey and substituted the bacon this recipe calls for with a small piece of honey ham. AWESOME! Everyone loved it and fought for the leftovers! thanks so much for the recipe!!

Apple Cider Floats

We tried this recipe because we love apple pie with vanilla ice cream and thought it would be fabulous. But, no one liked it. Sorry.

Blackberry and Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
This pie was just okay. It had nice flavor, but the crust could have been flakier and, as another reviewer mentioned, it became a bit mushy - did not hold up well for left overs.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
This was very yummy. We switched the blue cheese dressing for ranch because I have a few blue cheese haters in my family. Next time, I'll cut the dressing by a third or half. It was a bit too wet. But, there will definitely be a next time. Yum! Thanks for the recipe

Crab Crusted Grouper

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
This was very good. I used orange roughy. I baked for about 20 minutes then broiled for the last few to brown the top. Next time, I'll put a bit less mozzarella. I did double the jalapeno as another reviewer suggested. And, instead of using Parmesan flavored bread crumbs I used half Italian bread crumbs and half Romano cheese. Will definitely make again. Thank you for this unusual and elegant recipe!

This was just okay. My family ate it, but no one raved over it. Was really dry when heated for leftovers. I suggest sprinkling with a bit of water if you are heating left overs.

Chipotle Mayo

This was awesome. A fun twist on a sandwich - better than regular mayo. Spread it thin if you don't like it too hot!
