About this Cook
I have been married to my partner of 10 years for 2 years now, we have two boys and a girl, all under 4.5! I've been a SAHM for a year now, and have loved, and still do, love every moment of it. I also love photography, scrapbooking, recently discovered sewing, and although I loathe cleaning dishes, I love to cook and experement with new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
BBQ's, anything fresh, gluten free experiments - I sell a book on ebay under my username "v!ntagev!xen" for gluten free / wheat free recipes I have converted, roasts, and I love anything sweet!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't follow family tradition - that would mean burning everything, especially potato's!!
My cooking triumphs
Coverting classic wheaty recipes & Writing a wheat free recipe book - making a small living from my Gluten Free Recipe Book for people with celiac disease, just on ebay, but it keeps a roof firmly over our heads!
My cooking tragedies
Steak when its not on the BBQ. Tough, sloppy and flavourless.

Delicious Gluten-Free Pancakes
Too many ingredients for my liking. By the time I got this ready for the kids they were wingy and winy and over it... sorry. Maybe best to prepare dry ingredients a day ahead.

Ultimate High Altitude Chocolate Chip Cookies
I added the extra flour and an extra 1/2 cup of choc bits to make it a little crunchier and choclate-ier. Definatley worth a try, turned out quite nice, caramelised and crunchy on the outside and softer but not gooey on the inside. Nice with a big glass of milk. Beware: a little moorish!!

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna
Made this recipe for 8 (4 servings now, 4 to freeze) but not much was left unforunatley - I recommend buying a pre-roasted chicken from a fast food store (Red Rooster for example, not sure what they have in the USA - nothing too fatty) for extra flavour (and for working mums) and top with mozzerella and GRILL so you have a nice crunchy topping.
